Hash Oil?

I've heard about it and it interests me. Supposedly you get no red eye and I assume you don't stink when you use it. I heard you grind up weed and mix it with acetone until the acetone mostly evaporates, then you eat it with food... like "a few drops on toast". I have a few questions...

Is it real? I've only heard about it a few times.

Is it safe? How much weed should I use and how exactly do I make it? How much should be consumed? I usually take 5-8 hits when I want a decent high so that may help with how much hash oil I should take.

And someone said you keep it in an eye dropper. How long will it last in a small eyedropper?

I did attempt some research but all the tutorials used broken english and were a bit confusing and I questioned whether the acetone will help me make hash oil or as a joke from the author: give me a stomach ache...

And lastly, is it even worth making?

If you cannot find someone who sells it to at least give it try than I say try and make some. I had some hawiian haze honey oil a while back, lasts a long while and is very strong. Usually I take a small needle and grab some off with it, hold it over a bowl with a little bit of weed in it and let it melt/drop into the bowl. I than take one BIG hit and hold in, and feel the thc just pound you. Its good stuff and definently worth a try, its nothing I can do all the time though.

Hash oil is much more potent than Herb. Properly made hash oil and a drop on the end of a pin, on a bowl, or done using hot knives/blades, will have your lungs imploding on you :p Seriously, very potent stuff and will knock you on your ass.

Oil is meant to smoked, not just eaten by itself. If you want to eat it, make a drink (Bhang), or, make with some cookies, brownies, etc...

If you want to make it though, for goodness sakes don't use acetone. I have never heard of using this. Use Isopropanol Alcohol or Butane. What you do is you soak your trimmings/leaves, or ground up herb, or ground up hash, or whatever, and you soak whatever you soaking in the Iso or Butane. You then evaporate the Iso or Butane using heat, on an ELECTRIC STOVE, as they are both flammable, and you eveaporate the Iso or Butane, and what your left with, using Iso, is a dark, almost a deep cherry red oil. If you used Butane, you get a nice honey colored oil, the name Honey Oil.

Thanks for the help. Sounds dangerous cooking it. Can't it evaporate by itself? Someone I talked to said their friend just ate it with food..?

Yes, it is quite dangerous cooking it actually. You could do it outside, if you can, but yes, it will evaporate on its own. It may take a few day to a week, but it will on its own. Just make sure you put it in a spot where there is not too much heat, open flames, and in a place where you don't mind the slight smell of Alcohol and Weed.

I could see the made oil being made with food, that can easily be done. The hard part is making the oil :p

The chemical that use must be evaporated though. You don't want to injesting the chems. and such, thus, the stomach ache. When the chem. is fully evaped though, you should not be able to taste it at all. It should taste very pleasant.
