a little help

hi! okay i have been smoking weed for about two weeks now but i seem to only get real light buzzes off of joints. shouldnt i have gotten more high by now? i just need some advice because all i can use is joints but i dont seem to get high, and i know i am inhaling right. am i just not holding the smoke in my lungs long enough or what?

Well joints arnt a good idea. u should use a pipe, all i used to do when i started smoking was indent a popcan, poke holes in the intentation, put the weed there, and smoke it like that, it works pretty well too! you should try this method rather than rollin joints, its more effective and pleasing, u also save ALOT of the weed.

In addition to that, a gravity or waterfall bong is pretty fun too. There's pretty good instructions on how to make those here (http://www.concept420.com/how_to_make_a_bong.htm)

Maybe your weed isnt all that great. Ive been smoking seriously for about 3 months now and a nice fat joint or 2 still gets me nice and toasted. I also have a gravity bong which works great and I hear the soda can thing works well also.

Smoke however you like to smoke and whatever works best for you. But redraindrop was right. As hard as it is you should try to get your hands on a pipe. A bong would do the trick nicely also.

yah try n get juss a professional acrylic(plastic) bong. juss get a regular foot tall er wutever u want, but there fairly cheap
(under $50), n they hit u nice n hard.

i dont know what u people talkin bout joints not bein a very good way to get u high. u prolly jus never smoked a good joint. i alwayse use papers an blunts cause they get me way more fucked up. the inside gets nice an coated wit the oil that would jus sit in a bong stem of u used a bong but in a joint everything gets smoked. u can try that soda can thing but im not sure if its very healthy an u get a lot of air in with the smoke so its not as thick as a hit im pretty sure. jus look fer some metal pieces u can use fer a bowl, there are dangerous metals that u dont want to use but i havent got a clue which ones they are. jus order urself a nice cheap acrylic to start out wit.

jointz r a good way ta get high, i usually role up a nice cone, so that the amount ov pot burnin at one time iz greater givin u a thicker hit. id still much rather a hit frum the bong tho, getz me higher quicker n wit less pot.

when ur smokin a joint every hit has green burnin in it makin it smoother an tastier. so u can also get bigger hits

If your joints contain more than 30 percent tobacco thats the problem. Based on your thread im unsure as to whether youre an experienced smoker or a "naive" user. If the only other drug you used is alcohol dont expect weed to give you an equvalent high; cannabis effects are more subtle than drunk ones such as being a dickhead and making an arse of yourself so if youre looking for a wild drug pot is not it. More a sensible high than any other.
The first time i got stoned i had a hard time trying to put my finger on what was different-the first time i got drunk though it was pretty obvious what had changed. also like someone mentioned your weed might be shit so do a bit of reasearch on the net

:D got to agree...joints are the ol fashioned way of getting high for people who want to get high at there own pace ...just make sure u put enough weed in to do the trick....75% weed generally does the trick...grade a skunk only though...happy smokin and drop the drink......

he/she dint say they mix tobacco, she juss said that smokin jointz r a good idea becuz they look sumwhat like a cigg, unlike smokin out ov a pop can.

[B]You Brits have got to stop putting tabaco in your joints.. i smoked with an English guy once and he suggested that. We tried it his way once and then our way (100% weed) i have to say our way or rather everyone elses way is better. Do any other countries do that????

im from england, but live in america now, i recently went back to england, and smoked a few joints with my bro and i cannot stand tobacco, i cant rip tobacco as i can with weed so i get a lot less good hits, but it still works and sorta conserves weed a lil bit, but oh well, to each his own

I think the tobacco thing might come from the fact that the majority of potheads here in the UK smoke hash, or soap bar, or whatever you call that plastic-ridden gak, which needs to mixed with tobacco in order to smoke...
The same process is just applied to the green... though it does allow the joint to burn slower and more consistently(no Elvis Presley side burns)...
