As soon as you're 100% sure they're males... kill them.

you know they are male if the little pods inbetween the stems and leaf stems have stems of their own. You have awhile before they open but watch them. Make sure they ARE male before you kill them and just cut them down if you wanna kill them. Don't pop the pollen sacs when you do cut them down.
