Marijuana is a completely safe stimulant and dont let people tell you MJ makes you retarded, damages your brain, or even slows your memory because its not true...If a pothead is retarded, he/she was retarded BEFORE they started smokin..lol.THC is the only NATURAL nerve stimulant that doesnt damage anything within the brain or the body. The smoke resonates on the lungs, but with breaks in between smoking and alot of water, the resin goes away, unlike tobacco resin which stays in your lungs and destroys them.
MJ has also been known to help treat over 30 different diseases and conditions and even improve the immune system!
Shit, so smoke til ya choke like it was goin outta style or somethin.
Just smooooke, and blooow, the bluuunnnt witthh meee, i lika marijuana, you lika marijuana, WE LIKA MARIJUANA, Legalize marijuana....

"How does drinkin water get you higher?"
Its rather simple, do some research on water and what it does for your body and youll be amazed...
KronicKing, dude, why the hostility? Do you really care where i post it? If you dont care or arent interested or already know that, then why did u come in here and post in the first place? Not everyone is as smart as you...There are people who do not know these things, thus we must educate them..And as this seems to be one of the most popular threads, i posted a little interesting info..I will probably be posting more..So if u dont like it, ignore it...
PS- Why would you not like someone trying to depict the good things about something that you believe in?????

well maybe scientifically water getz u higher, but not noticably. drinkin alot ov water takez my high away. now i kno that takin a shower when yer drunk duznt actually sober u up, yer mind n body r still impaired, but yer state ov mind iz clearer, thus u feel a lil less drunk. itz the same thing when yer high. if i smoke then jump in the pool er take a shower er drink alotta water, i juss dunt feel high anymore. n how duz drinkin water clear yer lungz out? water dont go in yer lungz er else u woodnt b able 2 breathe.

Your body is more than 70% water. The more water you drink, the better your body can cycle things that you put into it. Now obviously if you drink a lot of water your body will have a lot more CLEAN water to work with, which will help your body get toxins and waste out much easier.
Scientifically water does increase your high. The more CLEAN water you have in your body the quicker your body can put the THC into your your bloodstream and nerves. Your body will also use the THC more efficiently to actually treat different things within your body. But see, your body cant do these things without enough water. Without enough water you still get high, but your body isnt truly utilizing the THC...
Thanks Euphoric..:D

I'm not saying I don't believe you or anything.
But I've read alot about marijuana and I've never once heard of it referred to as a stimulant. This kind of made me question everything else you wrote.
Also, since when does smoking weed not negatively effect your lungs? I can't really see water cleaning the 'resin' on your lungs unless your inhaling the water. I'm having a hard time believing that breathing in marijuana smoke, when done with breaks/water, has absolutely NO harmful effects on your body. I mean.. what about Vaporizers? ((as in why would they be created if marijuana smoke had no harmful body effects)) Everything I've heard all my life indicates that inhaling smoke is bad for your lungs. Period.
So since the link in your first post doesn't work, think you could post a reliable site or sources with some proof of what your saying?
Thanks. ^^

Well, I'm not sure that vaporizers were created with marijauna in mind, but I'd have to agree; it's hard to believe that smoking weed has no negative effects on your lungs.

yep for a lot of long term smokers, tolerance is a bitch
switching between weed and hash can help
but theres nothing like a break for a while
and then u get ur first bag weeks
its like the first smoke of the day but ten times better....
lol, reminds me of when i went without for 4 months (not by choice, travelling abroad) then got back to europe a went straight to my bro's in amsterdam, it was like i was 15 again! smoked one spliff and i was gone for 6 hours, a gram lasted me 4 days......jesus i could do with another break

Not a stimulant. Cannabis comprises it's own category- it obviously has halucinogenic properties, but can also act as a stimulant or a depressant, depending on the set and setting.
And yes, obviously "...absolutely NO harmful effects on your body" is inaccurate and irresponsible.

Wow...I'm suprised this thread is still here.
Allow me to apologize for abandoning it. I ran into some issues that forced me to cut off all connections to this webpage as well as others. (around the time when overgrow.com was shut down. ;) )
I was extremely high when I posted this informative post...lol.
At any rate, what I was trying to explain was how water is very important in keeping your body cleansed.
Allow me to elaborate on my point. It truly does help increase your high and depending on how sensitive you are to different levels and types of highs you will DEFINITLY notice the difference.
The human body is 2/3 water. Water is an essential nutrient that is involved in every function of the body. It helps transport nutrients and waste products in and out of cells. It is necessary for all digestive, absorption, circulatory, and excretory functions, as well as for the utilization of the water-soluble vitamins. It is also needed for the maintenance of proper body temperature.
Caffeinated and alcoholic beverages, while they do supply water to the body initially, contain diuretics that cause the body to lose water.
Here is the deal, THC is water-soluble. It is so water-soluble that it can absorb more water than your body can supply during certain gas exchanges to your bloodstream. This would mean that THC is also an extreme diuretic. Hence why we get cotton mouth.
The more water you drink, the more THC your body can "float" into your bloodstream. The more THC in your bloodstream, the higher you will be.
Now, as for cleaning your lungs by drinking more water, heres the deal on that:
Water must be continuously replaced since on average 250ml is lost on a daily basis through breathing. Nutritionists have difficulty in suggesting an exact daily requirement because the amount of water required will vary depending on the on the climate and whether any type of activity is undertaken.
Water is in fact a key ingredient with healthy breathing. And believe it or not your lungs DO have water and other types of fluid throughout them. Large concentrations of water inside your lungs is obviously bad for a number of reasons. I'm not saying inhale water..lol.
The resin on the inside of your lungs is constantly being removed from your lungs during the respiration stage of breathing.
Blood carries oxygen, carbon dioxide and hydrogen ions between tissues and the lungs.
The majority (70%) of CO2 transported in the blood is dissolved in plasma (primarily as dissolved bicarbonate; 60%). A smaller fraction (30%) is transported in red blood cells combined with the globin portion of hemoglobin as carbaminohemoglobin.
During this proccess many other things happen. The lungs will actually secrete gases accross the respiratory surface by diffusion. Which will be later formed as MUCUS.
Your lungs are comprised of a thin permeable surface, a moist exchange surface and BILLIONS of cilia.
The mucus that comes out of your lung area is how the body cleanses your lungs. Without proper intake of water your body cannot create enough mucus to protect and clean your lungs.
Ever wake up the next morning CONSTANTLY clearing your throat or "hacking up a lung"? Well, that is your body telling you that your lungs are dirty. Drink more water to help your body clear your lung area faster and more efficiently.
Now of course you won't be able to clear out ALL the resin and yes it is bad for you no matter how you look at it but I like to look at the upside of things.
By the way...I'M BAAAAACK! lol
PS- Vaporizers were created to help reduce carcinogens inhaled into the lungs, no matter what the substance being burned is. One issue with this is that you have to know the right temperatures at which each element becomes a gas in order for it to be effective. I highly recommend the usage of them. A long with drinking the right amount of water to compensate for the cannabis smoking life-style a vaporizer will ensure you the best health possible to go with that life-style.

Yes it has been said a few times. I'm not quite sure as to why. I never really said it was. Either way anyone who says it is a stimulant is not necissarily wrong...
Marijuana is its own type. It is neither stimulant nor depressant. It can be both. It depends.
And it actually IS a stimulant in many cases. It can be classified as an Appetite Stimulant.
Here are the known classifications for cannabis:
Antiemetic, Appetite Stimulant, Cannabinoid, Hallucinogen
This is a nice site (I've done business with the owner of the site):

Oh absolutely, it solely depends on the type of cannabis being smoked.
But it also depends on the persons personality and their psychological state before and after smoking.

well... i think your explanation is basically correct, or at least make sense for me. anyway, i found a small incorrect statement:
Here is the deal, THC is water-soluble. It is so water-soluble that it can absorb more water than your body can supply during certain gas exchanges to your bloodstream. This would mean that THC is also an extreme diuretic. Hence why we get cotton mouth.
in truth, the THC is insoluble in water. Thats why we need to mix it with fats or oils when cooking with cannabis.
but it dont invalidates your arguments, because, as THC is almost insoluble in water, the body needs a LOT of water to "wash" it, and thats the right reason why we get cotton mouth.
Anyway, this last part remains correct:
The more water you drink, the more THC your body can "float" into your bloodstream. The more THC in your bloodstream, the higher you will be.
GRB.4.Life
03-02-2007, 07:24 PM
Ooops I made a huge typo there. Thanks for correcting that.
Yes, THC is NOT water-soluble.
Here is the deal, THC is not water-soluble. It is so non-water-soluble that it can cause your kidneys to absorb more water than your body can supply during certain gas exchanges to your bloodstream. This would mean that THC is also an extreme diuretic. Hence why we get cotton mouth.
There...Corrected. :p
Again, thanks Coelho.

you said before, literally like 2 years ago, that marijuana doesnt slow memory, well thats not true, it does have an impact on the memory of the brain, but its complex, and scientists havent found exactly what it does. it make you lose some short term memory, but may also increase retention of longer term memory, and other effects, it isnt completely known,.. i know this because of the scientific tests that were done, and from personal experience... i dont have facts off-hand that i can show you, but since you posted all of the sources from which you got your info from, you can probably find it..
Most studies show that high intake (five or more joints per week) impairs short-term memory, but moderate intake (less than five joints per week) does not impair memory.
Moderation in all things... including moderation.

Marijuana is both a stimulant and a depressant depends on the strain.
Also there is water in your lungs, everyone has to have some because oxygen can't be diffusedd into the bloodstream directly from the air it has to be disolved in water in high amounts. This water is a layer all throughout the aveoli.
We also have water in every cell of your body so if not the first reason then this is the reason to say we have water in our lungs
