AMD Athlon x64-bit 3200+ (socket 754)
1 gig PC3200 (400MHz) RAM (2 x 512)
PNY nVidia GeForce 6200 256mb
Maxtor 250gig 7200rpm
19' inc LCD monitor
Built it maself, pretty good but its starting fall behind...
I'm thinking about picking up this bundle at Frys Electronics that had the
AMD Athlon 2X 64bit dual core 3800+ (socket 939) along with a motherboard with an AGP 8x slot and a PCI-E 16x for like $279.99. Newegg.com has some awesome deals on video cards, I bought my card for $160 (yeah I know...) and found it on newegg for $80...

CPU: intel 3.0 GHz
RAM: 1GB DDR
GFX: nvidia geforce 7800 GT
nvidia geforce 7800 GT (I have SLI on my motherboard so I can run duel video cards)
Sound: Sound Blaster 7.1
Speakers: Logitech
PSU: don't know
This computer just came in a few days ago, its water cooled and has a black, steel case. Even some of the more demanding games today look incredible on it - definitely worth the price in my opinion ($1,800.00 USD).

and they arent better at all benchmarks

Well we got just basic windows so I didn't have to pay for Word and Excel and stuff, my Dad got a disk with it all on from work (illegal, probably but fuck it) so it worked out cheaper that way lol :p

that might be ture about the heatsink, but in benchmarks AMD kills intel, so i don't know WTF your smoke but i think you need to put it down....
why don't you use google and compare them...... My AMD 3000+ is faster then my bro's Intel 3.5ghz,

LoL linux, thats pretty much only good for *HOSTING* Things, like games, websites ect.. But for regular use i would recommend not to get it... becase most software out today are for Windows, and many of them don't support the linux system base.
but as i said about it for hosting, it's the best..
PS.if anyone ends up getting linux i would recommend getting redhat upgrade

And check out the live discs first (many distros offer them). Better to run it from CD than to mess with your HD contents.
