i just purchased an acrylic bong and would like to place ice along w/ the water to further cool the smoke. however, i am concerned it may damage the piece. anybody have any experience w/ such a thing?
thanks!

The bong wont crack unless you get it really cold then introduce it to extreme temperatures immediately soon after (e.g. freezing it in the freezer and then hovering it over a stove).
Don't worry and put the ice cubes in.

Go ahead and do it, I recommend changing the bong water in acrylics EVERY time, it's the only way to go.
Changing the water everytime in any type of bong is the only way to go.

i never smoke outta a acrylic without ice and water in it... acrylic is like one of the most durable materials ever... hell, some of the bongs i have (that are acrylic) you can throw down on cement and they still won't break.. that's why i always reccomend acrylics if you'r enew to bongs/pipes...

But metal is the most durable :)

be careful when droppin them down in there as to not damage the female stem, ive broken two or three by not paying attnetion and letting the ice fall in too quickly

It's best to slide them down the side, not just straight down.
