Whats the best face wash that doesn't over dry your face, but doesn't make it look all greasy 6 hours later?
Also whats a good face lotion that doesnt make your face look oily?

A girlfriend uses "Beauti Control" ("i" not "y"). It works very well. It's a face wash-toner-moisturizer set. It doesn't dry your skin out, or make it oily.

go see a dermatologist
they gave me some prescription stuff... im not sure what it is but go ask them! its their job to tell you what to do with your skin.
I use that proactiv and it works great. It is a little privey but i would say it is worth it.

i use lots and lots of stuff. ive just settled with soap and water. in my opinion the best way to combat bad skin isnt just in washing it. you gotta fight back

go to a dermatoligist, and any one will say the best way to wash your face is with soap and water, then they will usually start you out on a couple different medications at first, such as a pill taken daily and a cream. The pill makes it a lot worse then it gets a lot better. But you gotta see the doc.

totally. it might take like 4 weeks before you even see results. man i got acne in 6th grade and i am still fighting it(SIX EYARS LATER). what worked the best for me was birth control, actually. otherwise it was the retin-a micro creme that worked, but it made my skin peel very badly.

yea i was on some stuff called acutane, very controversial shit, very powerful too. Its supposed to make you super depressed and kill your self. I had to get blood tests once a month on it for all the other side affects, crazy. But! it worked! worked wonders too! except for the fact that it made me peel all hell. I didnt really have bad acne, for some reason my parents insisted that since my brother got on it so should I.... strange parents mine are.
But yea ask a dermatologist about acutane if its still on the market cause it not only will get rid of all your acne, it all but stops it from coming back.
Now i just use plain ol Irish springs soap, its all you need in your bathroom, soap even works well as a shampoo.

The problem with pills are that the liver has to detoxify from them which in and of itself can cause outbreak.Try some hypo allergenic wash with tepid water..

That outbreak does occur, then it clears everything up. It is a side effect to the medication, and dermatologists always make sure the patient realizes this. I did, and it worked after about a week of a miniture breakout.

NEVER EVER EVER PUT SOAP ON YOUR FACE. Soap strips your face of good oil as well as bad oil. That's what causes irritation and some breakouts. Here is the combination that works for me. Not sure if you are a guy or a girl but when I decided I was going to fix my face I wanted to find products that were made with men in mind and this is what I came up with.
Every day: Neutrogena Oil-Control Foaming Cleanser from their Rapid Clear line. I use this every day in the shower and maybe at night if I'm going out or before bed if my face looks greasy--Basically whenever you want to wash your face. It does a good job at not over-drying you.
Twice a week: Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub (w/microbeads). On non-consecutive days before the oil-control cleanser. It just removes crap from deep in your pores, eliminating blackheads and the problems they can cause. Also removes dead skin. Be gentle, no need to "scrub". Use before shaving for a closer, better shave.
As needed: Gillette Complete Skincare Moisturizer. After the oil-control cleanser. Probably twice a week I use this, usually just before bed, to help my skin retain it's moisture. I don't see a need to use it every day. You can "feel" when your skin is dry.
Problem areas: Clearasil Ultra (Benzoyl Peroxide) twice a day, after oil-control cleanser. This stuff works like magic. I can always tell a difference after the first day.
If you do one thing, eliminate soap and buy the cleanser I mentioned. It's great for a guys face IMHO.

hey i admire him. metro men are on my list of must-haves. and his regimen is awesome. i exfoliate and heat mask only once a month, to give my skin time to rejuvenate, and by exfoliating i mean more than just your apricot scrubs, i use a hardy home-made salt scrub concoction. that crap with 'microbeads' doesnt do justice.

when i went to the dermatologist they told me to just wash with dove soap rather than using all those lotions and that dove works the best
but yea like everyone is saying go to the dermatologist they know skin much better than you do and they also know whats right for your skin specifically

dare i say metro? hehe j/k dude but thats pretty intenseLOL. Yeah I know how it sounds. It's not like I want to be pretty though. I was just fed up at this place under my mouth that would regularly break out so I decided to do something about it. I also do it because I smoke a good bit (of pot) and the smoke alone takes a big toll on your skin. I just don't want to look like a leather boot by the time I'm 40.
