Anyone know what thsi involves? I have visitors coming to inspect for asbestos levels in my apartment.

Wondering if I need to vacate my cab, or just stuff some clothes around it.

Anyone know exactly what this inspection consists of?

thanks.

there is asbestos in weed manNo there isn't. (!!!) Asbestos is spun mineral fiber used for insulation. It gives people cancer and causes lung disorders as it starts to degrade so typically they remove it when renovating a building.

yeah it's just a bi annual inspection. i just dont know if they go through all the closets, or its just an "eyeball" type thing.

I'm sorry I didn't try to answer your original question. It's just that I'm not the best person for such things. I'd say it would depend on how stealthy your cabinet is. Anything out of the ordinary might cause a landlord to ask questions if he/she is there. I Scroogled (http://www.scroogle.org) for you and came up with what they might be looking at (http://www.hometips.com/articles/asbestos4.html) while they are there.

Asbetos is pretty safe unless it is disturbed then it is very dangerous. I am not sure who will inspect it but if it has not been disturbed and it is whole then I dont think anything will be done about it.

True. They may just test to see what the levels of it in the air are. If that's the case they'll just walk around taking readings and leave.
