Also I live in the States. Some people have hypothesised that cannabis can lower your blood sugar, hence, the munchies. I checked my blood sugar before and after a joint - there was just an 8 point difference and I know my meter is not always that accurate. So I don't think you could argue that it would lower your blood sugar. However, there is scientific evidence that cannabis can prevent or alleviate certain types of neuropathy. And since diabetic neuropathy is so common... Try googling it, I believe it was done in Israel. I think you are going to have a struggle getting legal. Research things thoroughly, and learn the medical jargon so you can argue on equal terms with your doctor. Good luck!

mmj isnt used directly for diabetes. i dont know anything about type 2, but if your in chronic pain then yes you can possibly get it. just tell your doctor your worried about being hooked on painkillers and that you want to try out mmj.

I also have type 1 diabetes. I have some stomach and digestion problems and use mj to help. It dosnt have very much effect on the diabetes as far as lowering blood sugar but generally makes me feel much better.

It is highly unlikely that smoking MJ made his type 2 diabetes go away. Perhaps he lost weight or follows his diet better, but it sure wouldn't have anything to do with the MJ.
As you know, munchies make tight glucose control quite a problem since the urge to binge way overcomes the desire to watch your diet. It is true that painful neuropathy can be helped with medical mj.

mj isnt going to do one thing for your circulation or prevent neuropathy. there is no medical evidence that it can do either. Good luck with that.
