OMG I've gone through two 125 watt bulbs in two weeks! The first one came apart when I was screwing it into the expensive Hydrofarm CFL hood, so it never ever worked, and the second one just failed on me, like one half of the bulb went dead and parts of it cracked all by itself. Also seems like the broken part was overheating.

Did you contact the company?

Return it, and explain the situation... At least that's what I would do. :)

I know I should but I don't want more crappy Hydrofarm bulbs, I'm using a different brand now, altough I still have an unused 200 watt hydrofarm cfl, and if it breaks I definitely will contact them :)

Oh, and the EcoPlus cfls seem to be better.

Why the hell would you buy such high wattage CFLs when you can buy HID for less? :confused:

HID puts out less heat for the same wattage.
