Iâ??m really into all condiments; BBQ sauce, mustard, salsa, you name it I love it. So here is my absolute favorite salsa â?? Frontera Chipotle Salsa! Frontera brand is made by the world famous Mexican food chef, Rick Bayless. Bayless has two restraints in Chicago. There are many different varieties of Frontera salsa and I have tried them all but the Chipotle is the best in my opinion!! I used to like the salsa from a lot of local restraints until I tried Rick Baylessâ??s stuff, DAMN!! This is the real deal, VERY complex.

It should be at your local grocery store but all Wild Oats and Whole Foods sells it!

What do you like?

I've actually found that the Newman's Own brand salsa is really quite good, despite the fact that Paul Newman isn't exactly authentic mexican.

I'll try that chipotle stuff, though-- looks good!

Yeah Rick Bayless is not Mexican either but has become just about the most famous Mexican cuisine chief in the world. He is even very respected in Mexico!

Holy Crap!!! Sometimes Torog crack me up.

Gotta agree with friendowl though, homemade salsa is the best and is pretty easy to make. I used to work with this sweet little old hispanic woman who would bring me jars full of her home made salsa that was better than anything I've ever had and most likely ever will have, If it's not home made at least get something fresh from the grocery's refridgerated section. Much better than anything in a jar. Whole Foods has a lot of good salsas, so does Trader Joes.

Homemade is the way to go and much better when you pick the stuff from the garden...

I'm a strange one whe it comes to salsa. I don't like big chunks of shit in it. I like the stuff that's been blended almost into liquid. I allways get it at the cheap mexican places.

I agree I hate chunky salsa and chunky salsa is mostly an American invention and is not very authentic. Just like guacamole should NOT have big chunks of onion and shit, thatâ??s so nasty and not the way itâ??s supposed to be. The prefect guacamole is this â??

Mash up an avocado, ad salt and hot sauce then eat!! There is no need for anything else in it.

My favorite Salsa was always the mild salsa at Chi-Chi's. The stuff Chi-Chi's sold in stores didn't taste nearly as good. It fucking sucks they got bought out.
