Why I support Suicide

It was around 9th grade I believe when I first realized that I supported the act of suicide. I feel that suicide benefits many parts of society, including the economy, the mood of the general public, and the health and well being of the whole society. As I voiced my beliefs throughout high school I was met with strong opposition from the adult teachers and the brainwashed, Bible thumping, Planned Parenthood hating Catholics, along with many other groups.
Suicide is defined by the website dictionary.com as ??The act or an instance of intentionally killing oneself.? This is a pretty obvious definition and holds true to itself. Yet little known amongst the ignorant population is that there is a lesser-known definition. Dictionary.com once again states that it is ??The destruction or ruin of one's own interests?. This author as humble as he may be recommends that the definition of suicide be changed. I believe that the second definition should be changed to: The forfeit, and division of one??s own interests among the general population. This is exactly what suicide is, when a man kills himself, unless he is in debt, all of his interests are divided among his family members, this is only one of the ways suicide benefits society.
As many of you readers may know, America is in trouble, the school systems are running out of money, the economy to say the least is fucked, and people seem to be oblivious to all of it. According the book Affluenza, written by John DeGraff, David Wann, and Thomas H. Naylor, we as Americans ??now spend nearly two-thirds of our $11 trillion economy on consumer goods. For example, we spend more on shoes, jewelry, and watches ($100 Billion) than on higher education ($99 Billion). This author believes that when a man kills him self, his interests should be split up and divided among all Americans, or perhaps go to a trust fund for some charity. This may not seem like it would go far, but once we start putting on Pro Suicide commercials on television (Ideally during the winter due to SAD or seasonal depressive disorder) I believe that the rates will sky rocket, thus helping us to recycle money so to speak. With this renewable infinite source of income we can now put more money into things that matter, such as college tuition; something that most families do not do.
Savings in general is another problem for Americans these days, with our national savings rate close to 0 New York Times reporter Steve Lohr states that Americans now save only 0.2 percent (11.8% less than European??s 12 percent) of their personal income ?? about $1.50 a week on a salary of $40,000. Many people wonder as to why nobody in America saves money, the main answer to that question is over consumption and consumerism, while another part of the answer is overpopulation.
Overpopulation damages this society, and earth in general worst of all! This earth is filled with pollution, disease and scandal. While America only makes up around 4.7% of the population, amazingly 25% of greenhouse emissions that cause global warming are caused the United States. As if to add more gasoline on to the already humongous burning bonfire that is earth??s overpopulation, around 40% of America??s lakes, streams, and creeks are too polluted to fish or swim in. The reason people spend most of their money is because all of the goods that they purchase are over priced. If it wasn??t for overpopulation natural resources would be in a greater abundance and thus lowering the base prices for goods. Suicide would help these problems by lowering the population, and reducing the need for deforestation of America??s beautiful woodlands, thus reducing the cost for housing and development in already crowded places.
The goal of American health for the new millennium is no longer to increase the length of life for Americans; it is now to increase the length of quality of living while living longer. Suicide may not be able to increase the length of life but it can get rid of those low quality life years.
I hope after reading this article, this writer hopes you will take into consideration the benefits suicide has on society. If you would like to help spread the word of the benefits, I suggest forming a club at school, or designing posters to put up around you neighborhood. Writing your congressman is also another good idea.
