Anyone self medicate on a daily basis with weed? I do. It immensely helps my chemical and lifelong problem of depression and extreme anxiety. It's like night and day. I am so much better, nicer, more confident and functional if I smoke or eat weed regularly.

Just wondering about others...

It helps 200% on arthritis. Have taken tablets for it but they are shit. The only thing I have found is cannabis and some really nasty tablets that have way too many bad side effects.

I'm not much for psychological evaluations, but I would say that weed allows me to be able to look at my life without getting overwhelmed by everything in it.

I was chronicly scared of wierd shit like ghosts and people going suddenly insane and attacking me, or birds going crazy and attacking me. This was like 5 years ago. I was going for psychological evaluations against my will.

I discovered weed. I smoked weed for 3 weeks straight. Never been more sane :)

see what I mean? weed allows friend owl to have the same mentality as a rich single guy. when we are high we are all on the same playing field.

I was rich for a while and poor for a while, then poor for a while, now medium.

I felt really great when I was rich, too great I was getting cocky. I smoked some weed and I felt level and realised that I was getting a big head.

I felt super shitty when I was poor but smoked some weed and I felt the same as when I was rich.

Now I'm medium and am stoned as fuck and feel the same as when I was rich and poor. Weed is great

weed definately gives the world a more sunny setting. I have a very weak stomach and weed helps my nausea TREMENDOUSLY! Also if I have menstral cramps, it helps. (Sorry guys, gross girl stuff)

Wow, 107 posts, and now you've brought a tear to my eye. How do you tangle my emotions in such a short span of time? A tear of joy, of course.

It helps me..more than a pill. I am unable to smoke right now and xanax is just not for me sooo....be glad when I get back to "normal". It helps with symptons of Menopause and should be available to women for that also. I function better with it..I admit it.

i use weed to self-medicate for arthritis/pain from car accident injuries, for nausea/lack of appetite, and for depression -- as well as just enjoying getting high. i prefer smoking a bowl of side-effect-free greenery to gambling on whatever new chemical pharm is being handed out like candy.

The wife has poly cystic kidney and lever disease. In short has large assist growing in both her liver and kidneys which has enlarged them. In the end will lose the kidney as they shut down and they will have to slice of a piece of the liver as getting to big for her body to hold. The medication they give her to take is Demerol and Tylenol 3. Both have side effect with said organs. Herb gives relief so can function but without the side effects. Does not take rocket science to figure this out.

They help both a dream

And that makes me real down..........

When I was 3 years old, I was a brat. I pulled out the tent stakes that a playmate was laboriously hammering in. He took the hammer to my head. I have 4 dents in my head and a large backwards "L" shaped scar that my hair hides. Because of this head trauma,I have had migraines and cluster headaches since I can remember. At 19, I finally smoked some pot. My headaches went away. The scar still hurts now and then, but it's nothing compared to what I used to go through. Only when I do not have pot, do the headaches return. Also, I do not mind the side effect of getting high. I have been smoking for just a few months shy of 40 years. I am "California" legal- I have my doctor's recommendation and I grow my legal limit.

I use it to help me eat. I suffer from anxiety and a nervous stomach at times and it sure helps. But I smoke it mainly for the buzz. Nothing better than a beer and a few hits after a long day at work.:) :stoned:

when I was finishing the methadone program I could not not eat unless I had a smoke first and it also helps me to sleep..

I definitely do it to alleviate depression and anxiety, but mostly b/c I'm bored, and b/c I enjoy the feeling. Nothing like being stoned.
