What does everyone think on euthanasia since it is banned in quite a number of countries.

I believe that if someone is it that much pain that they want to end their life then they should be able to have the right to die. If they think that there life is not worth living that much that they wanted to die then they should be able to have there choice.

Yeah, if they are in sooooo much pain, and they just want to rest and let go of this pain, then they should be able too. I mean, if they're gonna die anyway why not just put them out of their misery?

I don't think it's "A O K"..

But, if someone's full of cancer or aids and other horrific disseases, then, yes.. They should be alloved to be put out of their missery..

why do you need a docs permission to die.
if shits gonig bad or you wanna die on your own terms than do it

But many of the people in the UK that want to want euthanesia legal are wanting to kill themselves but have such horrific diseases they find it impossible to do it by themselves, so they have to go abroad to get there wished.

Totally unsure on this one.

I guess it's a choice someone should be able to make, but what if they use it as a permanent solution to a temporary problem (depression, ect)? Is suicide a right? I have no idea.

I believe it should only be allowed when the person themselves choose it 100%. Also, only if they are able to make the choice intelligently. Like for example, a mentaly unhealthy person who wouldn't fully understand the situation shouldn't be able to chose.

I'd wanna die if I was a vegetable. They're made to be eaten not on life support.

my friends older brother killed himself cause of cancer. He had tumors in his brain, liver, stomack, bones, and practically everywhere possible. He was told he had 4 months lived but lived like 3 years till it got impossible. At this point he was at home cause they knew there was no hope. So one day he crawled out of his wheelchair and turned the car on in the garage, and killed himself that way. He left a note saying hes sorry but he couldnt take it anymore. sad storry but shit happen..........

this was like 5 years ago by the way

I think its alright if someone is in extreme pain. But i think it has a great potential to be abused and i imagine these suicide clinics so im gonna say no

i didnt vote, this topic is way to full of grey matter. the terry schavo (<sp) case, for instance, that poor woman has been kept alive for year because her parents didnt want to let her go. she has/d no quality of life. but at the same time, i dont think pain is a good enough reason for euthanasia. i think the veggie state, and the cancer story that Via Sin Dios was talkin about, those are pretty good reasons, and for those should be legal.
side note: euthanasia is not illegal so you cant kill yourself, its illegal so someone doesnt do it for you.

I had to euthanize Troubles, two years after I moved into the city. That cat had lived fifteen "nuttin'-but-Trouble-making" years in the country and died in the city, of dehydration. I'd sped her with a foon on the kitchen floor. I accidentally typed the "sp", so I kept going. You know, fed her with a spoon.

Howdy Carl,

I believe that euthanasia,is a slippery slope..if it were legal, how long would it be,before folks started saying, "Their life isn't worth living anymore, let's euthanize em and stop the drain on society and their families.." ?

We should fight for every moment of Life..be it painful or not..Life is prescious and there are many valuable spiritual lessons to be learned from adversity and even..from pain. I'm in constant pain, should I just give up ? I can't do alot of things that I used to do or alot of things that I would like to do,should I just give up ? I'd rather be alive with chronic pain and disability, than to miss a single prescious moment of Life..the pain is only relative.

Legalized euthanasia,is just a form of legalized suicide.

Have a good one ...

i do believe in assissted suicide, whether or not the person is terminally ill. if i wanted to off myself i'd rather get a prescription overdose than have to screw around trying to kill my own self and possibly end up a vegetable because i fucked it up.
