The governer of alaska is trying to fuck with its citizens man.
he introduced two bills to the state, one curbs methanphetamin production...and is a nice legit bill (in my opinion). the other takes marijuana and recriminalizes it again.
as you should know, marijuana has been legal in alaska sinse a 1975 alaskan supreme court ruling.
what this asshole did was combine the two bills so that they would move more "smoothly" through the house and senate comitte. it passed its first hurdle, but was criticized by the next due to the combination of the bills.

whiles its unlikely that the supreme court would allow the law to go into affect, it annoys me greatly that the governer of alaska refuses to comply with the will of its people.

It isn't legal. The Alaska ruling says the right to privacy trumps federal restrictions up to 25 plants (4oz) in a private residence. As it should be. A lot of the articles I've read about this says the law has been challenged many times since 1975 and has held it's own.
