It's too bad that poor dude actually had to go to jail because of it. It was almost sad watching that video :(

Sadly, that ugly lady represents the majority of the United States on views about cannabis.

Agreed. He got arrested for practicing what he believes in.

Well he was selling it and was caught with quite a large amount of it. I'd vouch for someone arrested for smoking pot but I don't know if I could ever defend somebody whose selling it. Either way, that mon speaks the truth. America needs healing!

besides us growing it... how do you expect the rest of us to get good smoke? steal it? heheheh, we have to pay for it, why couldn't you defend, I mean he had guns which wasn't cool, but it was ALL pot, so fuck the government man, they're too strict

because I can protest the laws regarding the consumption of marijuana but defending the distribution of it is pretty much impossible if it's not free or if it's not taxed. If you want to preach about the herb's abillity to heal your broken nation by all means do so, and honestly I'd most likely join you in your efforts, but at the same time you should not be selling it.

This feels like most of you in here are in the age 12-14 range the way you discuss this. Except for a few, and you know who youa re.

Yeah, agreed. I actually thought that guy had a pretty convincing argument and the female cop didn't have much to say.

That's the main argument that bothers me about marijuana. Even though it's a plant, it is still a drug. A drug is something that causes a marked change in consciousness. It doesn't matter if it's a plant, a pill, an extract, a tincture, a liquid, a distillation, or a powder. Do you think that mushrooms are any less of a drug because they are a mushroom that grows in nature?

Anyways, my least favorite part of the video was when the police woman was basically just repeating herself attempting to make herself known. And when she said that the Rastafarian was "corrupting children". The idea that "dope fiends" stand on street corners and give random children bags of marijuana is obselete. I wish that it could be stamped out.

No Marijuana is NOT a drug, it's a stimulant. There's nothing wrong with that as long as it's not harmful which it isn't.

I could understand this point of view if he was beaten or otherwise treated unfairly, however he knowingly broke the law. Whether or not you agree with the law is neither here nor there.

If you live in a country you either have to obey the laws or accept the punishment when it occurs. I believe that the laws need to be changed as much as anyone but you still have to expect to be punished when your caught.

JAH BLESS HIM. AMERICA IS NOT THE LAND OF THE FREE. if it was free he would be able to smoke marijuana cuz its part of his religion. in school if i say fuck i get in trouble that doesnt sound free to me and i have the freedom of speech. AMERICA IS BULLSHIT FUCK BUSH. if i had the chance i would rather live in panama my dads homeland or jamaica. america is not wat it lives up to be. the government really needs to get things strait marijuana is part of the earth god put it there for us it is a natural plant. alcohol kills ppl, marijuana doesnt i dont see how that doesnt get into the govt's head. I HATE OUR GOVERNMENT AND BUSH!

The fact is, that lady didn't make the law, but she has sworn herself to uphold it. Don't get mad at that lady, be mad at the politicians who put those laws into place. I also think he would have gotten off if they didn't find it by the pound in his apartment... just some food for thought, but realize that I am in no way encouraging the prohibition of Marijuana, I hate it as much as the next daily smoker does.

Well said dirty raider. I actually know a few cops who essentaily agree. Their feeling is that all the effort that's put into enforcing marijuana laws should be put into enforcing laws against heroin and crack instead. Drugs that really hurt people. Unfortunately they have to do their job, whether they like it or not, just like everyone else.
