Ok, the main buds hairs are looking orange but the lower 1ns are still white(ish), should i wait?
Do the trichomes of a plant mature in the same time?
Under the microscope most of them look cloudy with just a couple looking amber, this is a sample from one of the main buds.
Should i be looking at many different sites or will they all be the same?
Ive checked faqs but couldnt really find what i was looking for.
Thanks for any help. and here a pic for yall

Mostly cloudy with some amber means they are ready to harvest! This range will give you a more stoney feel. If they were mostly cloudy with some clear, that is more of a head high. If they are mostly amber then you waited too long.
Take a sample or two from different buds and test those.

a wise man once said, if you think they are ready for harvest, then wait a week.not sure if it was zandor or hardon.

Hey Sticky,
Just saw pictures of your bud's on Mand's tread and here. They are looking very good !! You've done well.
To me they don't quite look ready though. I would wait until at least 70% of the stigmas have withered. By the looks of the 3rd picture your maybe at 20%.
I agree with hempsmoker. You should wait a week. I remember my teacher telling me to be patient. I know it's hard.
I think you should post pictures daily so we can all see the progress.
Peace,

Follow the trichomes like Stickygreen said. it sounds like you are ready.mostly cloudy and a few amber. That's the best time. the rest of the hairs will turn when you dry and cure them.

Hey Sticky,
Keep in mind that buds near the top recieve more light and will ripen first, therefore you should pick them first. Pick individual buds as you feel they are ready.

Yea by all means, test more than just one to make sure.

im gonna wait a few days, i think. I'll post some pics in a day or two.
I'll keep checking on them everyday, well every two or three hours maybe. lol
Hello Sticky :) I was just looking at the pics and I'm terrible at knowing when to harvest but I would say just give them a little longer ;)
I think it's quite obvious from the pics that they will produce a very very nice smoke if you did harvest them now, but I think if they were mine I would just try to leave them a week maybe or so ???? ;)
love mand xxx:)

Hey Mand :smokin: hows you?
Oright love, Im thinking your right, i'd made my mind up when i read ur journal, i had my shears in hand. But then sumthing stopped me. Im gonna wait a few more days and keep looking at those crystals. when there 50/50 i gonna chop them.:)
i would have been stupid to chop them then coz they'd only had 9 days of water to flush them out, dont wanna nasty smoke and i think it would have been.
Your not a million miles from me, i could send you a bud when there ready if you like, feel like i owe you 1, well actually i couldnt afford that diamond ring i promised you :o so i was hoping that will make up for it.
Hope that drooping probs cured itself.
I av a question 4 u! Do you always grow from seed or av you cloned in the past? I was thinking about the maturity issue, and also it must be a right c*nt when the healthiest looking plants turn out to be males. could cloning be the answer?
