View Full Version : need to pick an old timer's brain

I am an old timer myself and I am experiencing a distinct drop in high air quality! Over the last seven months or so my highs have not been very high. Where I once flew, I now skim the ground. At first I attributed it to weak weed, but everything I've picked up is the same. I even drove for two hours to my old contact who I trust for the 'preme stuff but again..... scraping my belly on rocks.

I used to be contented smoking on average 5-7 js a day. I started upping that a couple of years ago. In this last year, I figure an OZ lasted me about 12 days. That's a lot, I know. :o

My question is this: has anyone experienced this "immunity"? If so, how do you get back to a clean slate?
Tired of spending this money chasing smoke.:(

I had it at one point. I once sat down and smoked 6 joints in a row just to get high.

The only way to lower your tolerance is to quit for a week or two. Get all of it out of your system, then when you go for a smoke after that time, it should feel like the first time.

Quit smoking for a month or two, take plenty of vitamins.

i think you should probably take a couple weeks off. ive heard that your tolerance goes down if its out of your system for a while.

thanx for the 'vice. I've heard that cranberry juice is great for stripping the cells of THC for drug testing...think that would help things along?
this is a real piss off.
Me want me buzz back.

There'z only two things I do when this happens.

Either stop smoking for a couple days,

Or go out there and run a mile or two then play sum type of sport till I can't anymore. Do this for two days straight then smoke a joint....youll be flyin

I stopped for 5 years (long story) and when I started back again I was definitely back to newbie level of tolerance. 5 years is a bit extreme for most people though and I don't really recommend it ;) . A couple of weeks should help out a bit though. One thing I've found that helps is switching strains if possible. If I start noticing a toloerance to something that is mostly indica I switch over to a sativa and, presto, my tolerance is much lower.

Cranberry juice won't help much. People drink cranberry juice before a piss test because it is a diuretic and makes you piss a lot. Basically it just waters down your piss to the point where THC levels aren't very noticable anymore. I don't think its going to help much with your tolerance though

Had this problem too many times. But I was advised that 4 days is long enough to lower your tolerance. Enough so you need less weed to get a good high, but not long enough so your first joint fucks you up. Sure enough it worked.

alright...been wanting to slow down for awhile now....the reasons for the increase in smoking have....settled.

A co-worker has told me again and again that I should get a little bubbler. I've always used a pipe or rolled a j. Just how much better is a bubbler over the other? Should I bother?

o yeah man deffinently get a nice glass bubbler they are so sweet the water filtratioin cools the hits which lets you take more smoke in at once which gets you higher

just take a couple weeks off and you will be good to go if your weed is good

yeah Show7stopper has the right idea. I only smoke on the weekends. It get's me higher becaause tolerance, i function very normal during the week so no one notices i smoke, and when you have to wait a week to smoke it makes it all the better when you can sit down and spark a fatty to relaz fpr the weekend. The best way to roll for sure.
