why don't you practice your religion in your country???Fuck...what is the problem with you guys??? Stop exporting your problems all over the world!!! You have your religions, fine...we have ours...and for this moment you are living in our country so keep this anti-freedom religion away, we don't want it...those charicatures, if they had a real purpose, it was an antidote to your sickness, literally...the world will be a better place when this religion will fade away, just like all the others...

you guys don't understand why it has been going so wrong in your country for all these centuries??? there must be something you are doing wrong, think about it, for your own good will... we personally have nothing about mohammed, i am sure he's a cool dude, but you misinterpreting his message...

kick back your sandles and smoke one while laughing at those so not well made cartoons...

You see, I am semi-religous and I believe in God and all that.... I would not be upset even a little if someone drew a cartoon about God or Jesus or whatever. People need to learn to laugh again!! Anyone that looks at life as anything more than pure entertainment has clearly missed the point.

For the strictest of muslims, you would be killed (or at least punished) for even printing the name of mohammed since they believe it falls in to the category of idolatry. (they must really hate the catholics) When the whole Piss Jesus incident erupted, christians were screaming bloody murder about the blasphemous aspects of this piece of "artwork" but I don't recall any of them burning down embassies. Sure there's been a couple of abortion clinics bombed but that's like 1 in 100,000 christians as opposed to thousands of muslims bitching about a cartoon. I've never been able to get a handle on religious zealotry that involves hurting others. But what do I know, I'm a heathen. Or as I have on occasion heard, recovering catholic. Someone really needs to lighten up a tad. It may be a sin for muslims to depict mohammed but not for anyone else. If I'm not mistaken Islam makes up about 1/3 of the worlds population. So even if a small percentage are extremists, that's a lot of cranky holy rollers who seem to believe they have a right not to be offended. I hate people. (most of them anyway)

And the one about running out of virgins was my personal favorite

There are extremists and there are those who don't realize that with freedom comes responsibility. The publishers decide whether something is newsworthy or merely incendiary. Like many others I think the reaction is over the top and misguided, but neither side emerges unscathed imo. What purpose will it serve for the French of all people to fan the fires (or have they banned the wearing of crucifixes in school yet)?

to start a war...because wether you agree or not, muslims are invading all over the world...they said it themselves, their purpose is to convert the world to their belief...now what the fuck do you want to happen now??? we say okay?? come on, yes we have to be responsible with our freedom but they need to be responsible with their religion to leave it in their country...i don't mind muslims living here, and even i think it's great, but don't start the trouble here when you left your country for that same trouble...this behaviour can't get no respect...

double-speak hypocrisy? Or does your definition of freedom not include religion? Fundamentalists want world domination whether they are muslim or christian. However, even with kooks like Pat Robertson here in the states, the similarity is lost on many.

what are you talking about? seriously i didn't understand a thing in your post!! my english is bad today so i will go sentence by sentence...why do you ask if my definition of freedom doesn't include religion?? haha you know if you want to know me a lil more in my intimacy that's fine!!! well yes of course freedom includes religion!! what's your point?? but freedom is not only religion!!

now everubody want domination!! we all know it and especially united state, but as bad as they can get or as "not free" they can get it's clear that the definition of freedom is a lot more free than muslims definition of freedom..

so still i don't see any point in your post please explain!

If only I were fluent in french! I suppose part of what I'm trying to say is that where some others point to differences between "us" and "them," I see significant similarities between the extremist factions of both sides.

As for the "lighten up" plea from Amsterdam... that's just a cop-out. Comedy almost always has more of a purpose than a giggle, at least to those who recognize the difference between Andrew Clay and Lenny Bruce.

A statement like "you have your religions and we have ours" is inherently divisive. Somewhere there has to be an agreeable balance between respecting freedom of speech and respecting each other's beliefs. While I thoroughly support freedom of speech (accepting the inevitable "bad" with the good) I do think that the intent of publishing that cartoon is questionable.

yep you are right, there is not much differences about catho extremist and muslim extrem...except for the violence...and when i said "we have ours" i mean we preech freedom of speach as a religion so of course we will never agree with the muslims...anyways i guess everything is right and wrong...
