Pounding heart?

I have had some experiances in the past where my heart is beating pretty fast for no reason (when i'm stoned) but a couple days ago it got a little weird. I was smokin chronic with my friends from this bong and after the 5th bowl or so I noticed my chest was hot. I felt it and immidiatly noticed my heart just pounding away, now normally if you try you can hardly feel my heart through my chest. But it was pounding sooo hard that you could see the entire section of skin over my left rib throbbing, it was scary as all hell. I was just sitting there the entire time so I didn't know why it happend. Is this dangerous? I mean, can I have a heart attack from it or anything? Im only 17 so youth is on my side, but it still scares me.

it went away after a while but has anyone else had this happend before?

dude ok i'm not sure but your heart can go really fast but when it stops u sometimes imagine it all happening cos ur high, unlike the poppers i'm sniffing they gave u a real rush of blood to the head and like really fast heart beats

i dontknow man thats never happened to me like that. i mean i had my heart beating fast i just tried to relax and breath in and out slowly

when you get high, you're alot more sensative, and your heart speeds sometimes... also, you might have gotton a panic/anxiety attack sometimes caused by weed in high doses...

when i get super paranoid my heart beats pretty damn fast so that could be one of the reasons

you feel like you need to tell your parents to call the cops or something to help you

It was chronic as in dank, not coke too, and I don't smoke cigs either. Most of the time when I smoke this doesn't happen and when it does, it's because I tried controlling my heart (don't even attempt this when high, it ends up just scaring me at least) But this time it just happend out of no where and was pumping harder then ever, caught me off gaurd. As long as I can't have a heart attack or die from it though, it's all good. Thanks for the replies

the same exact thing happens to me when i get completely stoned out of my mind.... like im not even doing any activity at all, ill just be sitting in my lazy boy and my heart just beats like a mother fucker lol. oh yea that happens when i do coke and then smoke too.... for obvious reasons of course lol.

I read that milk helps regulate heart beat, try drinking that. Or anything for that matter.

i read an article saying if you get rapid heart beat/pounding heart that you are more prone to developing schitzophrenia later on in life

The heart part I always get over now and the strange melting feeling I get in my head and the slowness of everything...But today when I smoked and didnt let the smoke back out I got more blown than everand I noticed one thing...My fuckin chest felt funny and warm lol. It was a strange feeling but felt good at the same time but my heart felt like it was stretching from its original place all the way down to my genitals lol.

Where did you read that ? My heart beats real fast when I puff too. I wouldn't worry too much. Heart palpitations won't hurt you, but it's certainly not good for your complextion later in life. :p

ME and my buddy were smoking a blunt and after that shit was done his friend comes in with another dub of white rhino and we smoked it all then afterwards i was sooooooooooooo stoned. All of a sudden i felt like i couldnt breathe and my heart was beating sooooo fast. I asked my friend who wasnt high if it was beating fast he said no it seems normal to me so i think that it happens becuase ur just so high u notice it. I think its just part of being high haha i dont even trip anymore i just say to myself its not even fast ur just stoned.

I've had that, its weird as hell seeing your chest throb like that! ive had it more than, once and its usually caused from paranoia while smoking.

thats happened to me before whenever I would smoke more potent cannabis. you just have to build up a tolerance to it. but remember weed reveals you to yourself. i dont get like that anymore though because i am so used to smoking...even the real potent stuff is normal to me now although some BC bubblehash i got awhile ago gave me a run for my money!

Happens to me all the time...It did happen more when I was stressed and a bit out of shape. I started running, lost a few, cut the stress out of my life and yeah...still happens every now and then. It actually happened to me in the middle of Dave and Buster's...all the lights and noise triggered something I think.
