Laws about marijuana posession and cultivation by minors

Does anyone here know about laws or court cases where minors were charged for posession of posession of marijuana or cultivation and there parents were prosecuted even though they didnt know. Any info is welcome:)

I know a few people under the age of 18 with Intent charges..one has three charges of Intent all on his record, and he walked away on 1 year probation and his parents just got the fine for the probation fees.
