I have some Lowryder seedlings planted in Jiffy pellets that have just come up out of the dirt. Looks like I'm going to have to leave in a few days for a week unexpectedly, and I won't be able to water them. Would it work if I put the jiffy pellets into water, say 1/2" deep, with an air pump aerating the water? Will that keep them watered while I'm gone or just drown them?

make a little bubbler...like 1 gal rubbermaid that just barely holds the peat pellets...they should be about 1 inch above the water line with a airstone splashing bubbles onto the bottom of the peat pellet to keep it moist until the roots can grow out...you should be able to leave it for at least a week...make sure ph is 5.5 and they have very weak hydro nutes...
