expiring dates on pills?

Alright, i was looking through my old pills to throw out cause my cabinets are full of junk. then i came across a old vicodin bottle. but it expired 4 years ago! damn if only i knew. are they still safe to take?

Try looking for some info on erowid.org about vicoden. Are you sure it wasn't the prescription that expired instead of the pills themselves?

see, i dont know.. thats all it says it the expiring date, nothing else.

I'm pretty sure pills don't go bad as long as they've been stored in an airtight container and kept out of bright lights, they should be fine.
