We need more mods

This board used to be cool. Now its filled with 13yr old kids, asking 'how do I smoke teh cannabis lollz!!!!11!!!!!!1' and 'but Im all out of weed, can anyone here hook me up?'
I mean, ffs Its gotten worse since cockosan got banned. Remember Musicians post called 'Fuck this' or something like that? Well, I now agree with him.
This board has just become a meeting place for people to discuss ogrish.com videos (the videos and people who watch them are sick, in my opinion) and to get people to play Counterstrike - which further proves my point that this board is filled with pre-pubescent children. Now I know theres some people who play CS that are in their twenties, but theyre in the minority.
Actually, change of plan.

I blame the mods/admins. They are the people who are supposed to enforce the rules here. Well, they dont seem to be doing a very good job of it. When you sign up you agree to a form saying that you are 18 or over - most of the members here have posted their age, and the majority of them are well under 18.

Now, I have loads of spare time on my hands being currently unemployed, am over 18 and if you read my posts, there has only been one (1 - singular) act of stupidity by me, and I was blazed out my mind then so that sorta makes it OK. Ish.
Anyway, if you want to make me a mod on a temporary basis to see if I can cope with enforcing the rules on here, then fine, Ill happily do it. If you dont, then leave this board in disarray.
Unless things change around here quickly, then this board will dissolve into something that will always remind me of tokosan :(

I don't care if someone is young. I've known some pretty bright 15 yr olds and some pretty stupid 20 something year olds. age shouldn't be a factor. nor if people want to meet up for CS.

I just read tonight where a site called myspace.com is now being investigated by Conneticut Police because they said 14 underage girls had met with men they met from that site...said it was a predators dream. Kids WILL mess up a good thing....and the pervs of course. When another poster can post a vicious LIE that another member is buying from this site (open sales talk anyway) then it should be banned immediately imo. That article also said that other sites are going to be investigated because of myspace.com

Hmmm... that's an interesting point of view... as I'm usually very pissed-off when the "servers are busy"... why are they busy? Because of the Lounge. In my opinion, server priority should be given to the Cultivation and Legal sections.

As to the kids in the boards, well, I'm a newbie grower... in my 1st grow right now... and the guy that helped me since the beginning? RastaKaze... a 16 year old (if I'm not mistaken) "kid". Pretty bright if you ask me.

:( I am sorry that you feel this way about the MODS that are already here. We do what we can when we can and I am sorry that things do slip by us, but at the end of the day we are only human. Ron is aware that more MODS are needed as these boards etc are growing by the hour, but in good time I am sure he will seek out new MODS. Yes there is a age restriction on this site but there is no way to enforce this, and there are a lot of younger members that do have alot of useful info and convo to add here.:confused:

Yeah Kiwi that is true. It is kinda a shame that TC got banned (well, I dont see him round here anymore) as he really coulda helped me with my grow. 4 days and still going strong! Apart from the 1mm thick stem. Damn fan breaking on me :(

I think that the vote-ban system that someone mentioned a while ago would be a brilliant idea. Like after 100 or so votes, a mod gets alerted to whats going on and reads through that persons posts, then decideds whether to ban and how long for.

Ron is overworked. I can tell by our communication that he has a lot of irons in the fire and really I can't say anything bad about that. I'd just like to see some people that contribute a little more here, only so they can make sound decisions when and if they do. I think, however, that attention is again being paid to the fact that this is the members' board. Ron is a reasonable guy he just needs time to sort everything out. It is booming here and it may get worse before it gets better because of OG. Although in the end I don't think that is such a bad thing. :thumbsup:

If not it is legal in all other countries and is being openly sold in various shops around the U.S.

I don't know how informed you are (how much information you have read) but erowid.com is a very informative site with lots of links. It's where I go to get most of my information..instead of asking on here, because that's where most people on here get their information. I have smoked salvia 15x and 20x about 30-35 times, and everytime was not so pleasant, I have ceased smoking it for the time being, and smoking marijuana, but I do frequent these sites to see what is going on, and IMO the majority of the people here are pleasant to talk to!

Ive read all about salvia and the effects - basically, its an intense and short lived trip that on higher doses can make you impervious to pain, forget whats taken place, get extremely confused etc. NOT something to be messed around with. Although our cat is still missing after a month and a half (was seen yesterday by some old guy) so Im thinking of ordering some 15x and trying to connect with his spirit, to pinpoint exactly where he is. Ill stick that idea in the spirituality section methinks.

all i can say is if you don't like the weather, move. there are other sites that enforce restrictions on age and subject matter which you may find more to your liking. but here, we strive to be open to all with almost anything open for discusiion, within reason, with cannabis as our base. we do limit content concerning hard drugs and dealing of any kind while trying to leave some avenues of communication open for whatever time is needed for those caught in between our change of policy concerning MOM's as we can not be a clearing house for such activity (which was getting out of hand despite numerous pleas for chilling from management). you can't see all the posts that get pulled as they are born but there are many senseless threads begun by our turbo-posters who also invade other threads with their nonsense which get pulled as they are found but there is no way every thread/post will be read no matter how many mods are onboard so some will always escape. if they bother people much all that is needed is contacting one of us in the chat, email or pm if s/he is a cafe member...or just post a link as a last resort. hope this answers a few questions...
