View Full Version : Is there a doctor in the house?

I know this belongs elsewhere, but I want answers.

Okay, my right shoulder has been extremely fucked up for about a year now. The bone was ripped from its socket during the last football season I participated in (2 years ago) and causes me chronic pain.

Now, this morning I woke up and it was aching like a bitch. Not only that, but my shoulder blade, trapezius muscle, collarbone, chest, and upper right back all hurt at once. Breathing quickly causes me extreme pain.

I don't want to go back to the doctor who told me my shoulder was fine after it was brutally ripped from its socket, so what do you guys think is up with my shoulder?

Thanks,
Jake

My body refuses pharmeceutical chemicals.

I have no fucking clue why.

But, I do know that all 100% natural drugs work way well on me (weed is a prime example. 2 hits of schwagg and I'm giggling like a little bitch).

My doctor refuses to listen to me about my shoulder. He took X-Rays to look for ligament damage, but they came back negative. Fucking stupid ass...ligaments don't show on X-Rays...

I dont know about the shoulder, but all the pain else where and while breathing sounds to me like muscle spasms. Occasionally I get them in my back and if they are bad it hurts like crazy when I breathe... but they tend to go away after a few days. I dont know if its the same, but kinda sounds like it. If it keeps up I say go see the doctor, possibly a different one if yours is as dumb as you say he is.

Go see a different doctor. And if you hate pharmaceuticals see if you can find a homeopathic physicians.

It sounds like a pulled muscle/ligament/tendon. Go for X-rays again, cause it might have been a small enough tear to evade the X-rays the first time. However, if the pain is as bad as you say it is now, it's time to get checked out again.

My buddy has a similar problem.....he was a pitcher and they're notorious for getting shoulder injuries. He had it checked out by a doctor w/ X-rays...maybe an MRI??? Anyways the doc says all he can do is physical therapy (painful in shoulders:( ). Although phys. therapy can be bit*h, its something to look into.

btw my first post on this board:dance:

Who said anything about pharmaceutical chemicals? Codeine is part synthetic.

And theres no way your body can tell the difference between natural drugs and pharmaceutical drugs. It's not as if they have a big sign saying "SYNTHETIC" or "NATURAL".

actually yes it can, my body does the same thing and it's not just in my mind... i can get drunk/stoned fuckin easy as hell, takes me 4-6x the normal dose the average person takes for anything at all to work, anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, asprin, anything...

4-6x the normal dose? Wow, your liver must be strong to not fail after such a high overdose.

And the reason for synthetic drugs not working as effectively as cannabis is probably because most synthetic drugs are ingested where they enter the liver faster, so you probably have a higher tolerance. If you where injected with morphine, I think my statement would be true.

yea i worry about that alot... for sleeping pills (diphenhydramine hydrochloride) i have to take 10... if i even take 9 i won't feel it, 10 barely gets my mind at rest enough to sleep.. and if i didn't have some type of sedative i could literally be up 3-4 days, and still not stand a chance at sleeping, even if i was to turn off all the lights, get comfterable and lay there, three hours after not moving, or anything.. i'd still be awake. and it sucks. as for the tolerance, even if i were to take a medicine i've never taken in my life, or anything related to the medicine, it would still take more.. and i realized i made a typo.. i'm used to pills being a 2-pill dose so i meant 4-6 pills (or 2-3x the normal dose) where as a normal person would get the same effects (if not even stronger) with 2 pills.

yeah i barely take any pills im prescribed trust me with most things its better to just toughen up and deal with it cause if you feel the pain you know your hurting it so you dont cause damage, dont know about shoulder problems though i only get problems with my ankles and back.

ive been skateboarding for many years and my ankles must be mush ive sprained each ankle probably 12-15 times each in the last few years and i fractured my right ankle jumping a flight of stairs at my school(swear on my life, 20 somthin stairs i did it to prove it could be done and cause i wanted to show the niners who the crazy people in the school were right off the bat, i admit i was scared but it was friday and liquid courage played a big part in it)

but yeah so because of my hobbies and dumb jump i have chronic ankle pain a lot but im glad i got through it without any meds accept for like an 8th a day cause i couldnt walk and my cruthes were stolen, im assuming

woh i didnt mean for that post to turn into a long ass story o well if you took the time to read it all im sorry for your loss

i love bubblers

That just shows you have a higher tolerance to ingested chemicals.
