when i used to sell, i got bricks straight from mexico. after about 2-3 years i decided to tell my connection that i was a little unhappy with the quality, and if they had any other kind... the stuff they were giving me for so long was standard mexican red haired sativa, field grown, bailed and bricked. it did the job, and no one could compare with the price. Well, they were so pleased with me and my buisness (never late on pay, pick up, or sloppy with negotiations) that for the same price as the red hair, i was getting purple mexican sativa... i grew a few of the plants, and i'm sure the stuff was haze... the plants waited so long to finish blooming, plus that unmistakable high... the stuff he gave me was only "mid-quality", due to all the processing, and growing methods... but when homegrown there was no mistaking it, it was a fine strain of PURPLE HAZE...

you will know if you have purple weed man... that herb you got looks like some good, but i couldn't say if it is PH or not

Purple Haze is a weed strain just like Northern Lights and Blueberry. There would be no point putting acid of bud as it would get destroyed through the heat of burning it. To the OP that bud looks really nice if I were you i'd keep that dealer friend of yours on friendly terms.

Purple haze is pretty much extinct in its pure form. There are probably very few select growers with the original strain. You most likely do not have the original purple haze. That being said, it's possible that you have a cross with Purple Haze or some other purple strain. Also, weed can have a slightly purplish color if exposed to undesirable temperatures/lack of certain nutrients.

-Purple Haze is not a myth. It is an actual strain that does/did exist.

All I am saying is that there was, and apparently is again, a distinct strain called Purple Haze. This means that it was genetically inclined to turn purple and the coloration was not just based on the temperature. This is what most people are talking about when they say "Purple Haze". Think about it, if all you needed to do to get Purple Haze was to grow Haze and drop the temp don't you think every god damn grower out there would do it in order to jack up their prices?

Simply put- ANY strain can turn purple if exposed to the correct conditions (many already stated in this thread) but that doesn't make them purple haze. Haze grown in California that is exposed to these conditions does not make it as purple haze. It's haze that was exposed to conditions that made it turn a purple shade.

Do a little research- have you found anything from a reliable person that disputes what we're saying? Is there anyone on here agreeing with you? Or is there two or more people saying exactly the same thing to you.

And, to sum it up:
