Anyone the only smoker in their relationship?

Ok, because of some legal troubles, my husband no longer smokes or drinks. I am fine with being alcohol-free, but I have made it clear that I cannot, will not give up the ganja.

However I am going to try to be discreet and respectful. Cut back. Not smoke around him. Vaporize or eat the weed instead of smoking to reduce the smell.

It just sucks...I wish he could enjoy with me! Even though, I'm dry right now...no smoke for at least another week or two :( but when I do get it my tolerance will be lower and the buzz will be awesome!

My wife had to stop smoking for a while due to her job. I kept smoking but it was hard at first. In the begining I didn't smoke around her at all, but felt bad smoking behind her back. Eventually she was cool with it and we could hang out with me smoking and she was fine.

I've never had this happen. Most girls that don't smoke usually want to change me or ask me not to talk about it around them. I can't really do that since it's something I love to do, so I've never had a relationship with a non-smoker.

I've never been in a relationship where neither of us smoked. A couple of them tried to quit a couple of times to get jobs, but that never worked.

My spousal unit has not indulged for many years (she got seriously catholic about 18 or 20 years ago) and takes a dim view of my hobby. Consequently, I don't do it around her and if she even found out how much money has gone to the herb it just might cause a divorce. Kinda sucks having to hide it but such is life.

My girlfriend never has and says never will smoke and weve been together for 2 1/2 years. shes tried to change me and it didnt work, now everytime she brings up me quitting i just tell her to fuck off.

I'm all alone in my own world, my girlfriend stopped smoking, almost, a year ago. She wasn't a regular smoker when I met her, but she was with me. We have different perspectives on things, a lot, and we used to, just, smoke Herb and have sex. We still live together now.

Hm, I've dated mostly dealers. I dated a guy who just smoked cigarettes/black+milds but pretended to smoke pot but I found out that he didn't. Now he's a TOTAL POT HEAD DUDDDE.

But yea, I've had one relationship that my partner didn't ^^ and we broke up after two weeks. The longest two weeks of my life. I actually wasn't that big into smoking pot until my relationship before this one when he would constantly give me mj and constantly smoke me up. Then I was like, fuck yeah. Haha.

My drug of choice is pot and hers is alcohol and I don't criticise her and she doesn't criticise me.

Come to think of it, almost all of my friends are with non-smoking partners and they have never had a problem either - except for one, but that was more to do with his other excesses rather than just his almost permanent stoned state.

My better half didn't smoke at the beginning of the relationship but was open to other drugs. I finally got him to and he's become quite the smoker. Before he did I would feel so bad smoking it in front of him. It's nice being a stoner couple.

I say Ill leave if she wants because I wont give it up and never will. I love it too much. I think it shouldnt even be an issue. Is it wrong I feel this way?

When my lil lesbo stopped, it was 2 years of slow winding death...ended up becoming too different to keep it going. Sometimes its the little things that keep you from paying attention to the BIG things :thumbsup:

i know what u mean,

i broke up with my gf last night.. one reason is we dont have many things in common. she HATES dope...and doesnt smoke tabacco which pissed me off because they are things i love.
