The link above is good....
The Bulldog Hotel is cheap if they have space - especially if you are in a group.

Flying Pig is also good

As for eating - its as expensive as you want it to be - avoid most of the resteraunts and bars on the DAMRAK (the main street from Central Station to the Dam Square) - the food will appear cheap, but the drinks will kill you!!
THere is a great Chinese place - if you are in DAM square, with Damrak (main road to central station) to your left, go straight down the road, over the canals. On the corner of a canal and the road is a BIG chinese place - 3 floors with bright lights announcing its presence. Right next door is a smaller chinese cafe place which is quarter the price, but the food comes from the same kitchen!!
Enjoy!!

Noordwijkerhout is out in the countryside were you will find many campgrounds that you can pitch a tent at or rent a caravan - very cheap,
campgrounds are great Craic in the summer were you will meet alot of similar thinking potheads out for a good time - you can also pick up a job working in the Bulb factories/fields to help pay for your vacation,
just ask about, purchase a strip of bus tokens from a supermarket or shop and hop on the bus,
best thing is that the Dutch are so trusting, when you get on a tram it is your responsibility to pay for the journey by throwing your fare into the 'fare box' - there is no conductor.
