Could someone please help. These are my plants that are at 6 weeks 12/12. It took them about 2 weeks to start flowering so it is about 4 weeks.
It is a 400w HPS, with allmix soil with bio-bizz nutes.
They have a few weeks left to go yet but I can't see how they can put any size or weight on, there are small buds I just can't see how they are going to turn into big buds!
Is it just me cause it is my first grow?
Any help or comments are appreciated

They are 6 weeks into flowering.. just cause they dont start to show sex until week 2 doesn't mean that they are only 4 weeks of flowering
they are 6 weeks into flowering and they look pretty darn good..
If you wantmanster BUDS.. you need at least 1000watts HPS and you need perfect grow enviroment (easy to do) including keeping the light close to the canapy with great airflow..
and know you KNOWM!!

how close is the light and what strain is it? sativa's can take as much as 120 days to finish. they do look good though for a 1st grow. be patient. i can pull 13-14oz from my 400hps.

It is Mr Nice shit and the light is about 10" away frome the canopy
Hello amckean :) They look fine ;)
They still have a way to go yet before harvest and the buds will increase in size, from what I can see you will produce a fine average amount of bud, from an indoor grow using a 400 HPS.
As for some buds being small, yes that is average is well ............. I can't see that you have any problems from the pics ;)

When the buds stop growing ,they are ussually building up THC.When the vegatation stops multiplying .It starts to make the flowers swell with oil.:rasta:

Yeah maybe you should bring the light in closer I have mine about 6 inches away from my canopy, I mean thats if they can take the heat I have a cool tube and a fan blowing the light

Yes Stoney..
Fresh air + fan blowing on lights = cool light!:)
Thus cooling it once and for all..

i am in the process of getting the materials to upgrade my 400hps non aircooled hood to a cool tube. finding an hps socket small enough to fit in a glass bakers tube isn't easy! does anyone have plans for a diy cool tube?

So it would be better to have an oscillating fan on your bulb, rather than on your canopy?

air blowing directly on the bulb would definetely keep it cooler. i use an oscillating fan to blown on the plants and a stationary fan on the bulb

hey mckean, if you get a chance, you should post some recent pics. You've got some beauties there.
btw, you might be happier with your photos with the hps off, great pics nonetheless
