It's could very likely be a telemarketer seeking donations for a Fraternial Order of Police organization or similar; such fundraisers are mostly scams.

Another possibility is it's a prankster forging the caller-id ... very easy to do ... there's even is (or at least was) a website that will assist one in placing a call to someone using fake caller id; such services won't work for 911 nor toll-free numbers, since those use ANI which can't be blocked with *67 nor easily forged.

Some possibilities to consider.

or it could have been some1 you know arrested, and seeking bail money. Think of some friends who you havent seen in a few days.

If the police called my house, I would be straight cleaning the place up, not posting on cannabis.com about how the police just called your house.

Unless he was dumb enough to dial 911 and hang up on them.

Yeah, it's better to be in the know. You should have answered.. answering would keep you alert of anything they were going to do, now that you didn't bother you haven't a clue what they're planning.. perhaps they'd have told you if you'd answered lol.
