ok folks, these pics are of my train wreck plant with leaf curling. so far ive got four answers for this problem. 1- heat from lite. 2- PH problem. 3-magnesium defishontcy. 4-roots exposed to lite. i am very thankfull for all replys. but who is right? the problem started at the top of the plant and spreading downward, also spreading to new growth:confused:
thanks again.

It is a heat and or air related issue. The leaves are having trouble breathing. It's kind of like a air in air out thing, and the plant is having trouble due to haat(maybe from the light too close or temps too high), and this can also be caused by lack of air movement. This will get worse if not fixed, and you will end up with taco leaves.
Cheers,

Your plants look good for having flouresents 12 inches away. Can you get them closer, like say TWO inches? That would be ideal considering your temps.
It doesn't look like a mag deficiency, pH, or heat problem. The plant looks too healthy. Possibly root related? Could be a genetic freak? The problem starting on new growth and progressing downward is a clue.

GET that light closer.... those are some spindly stretched out plants.. CLone that thing.. about 25 clones... (reduce the plants height by 1/2)
and then bring the light within 2 inches of the top.
if it were heat.. the actual leaves would be pointed up..
It is not a defciency... it is to much of something.... but I dont think its to much heat.... lol
love
bring the light closer
make sure your water is PHed to 6.8
and clone that sucker
love
plant looks good.. just watch that curling thing.. but don't stress about it.. YET.. : )

GK how would cloning it reduce its height? I'm not doubting you I'm just wondering because I have a few unanswered questions on cloning.

Mr Hogg, I have the same problem and have researched it as being Mg deficiency - they even say they're curling up because they're praying for Mg. You also have very purple stems - which I also have which they say is a K (potasium) deficiency. I've not yet done anything about it but plan to get hold of some supplements. I can't work it out though cos they get regular feed which should give them everything they need? I have really good ventillation and temps are nice so i don't believe they are to blame
Actually scrap the purple stems comment i made - it was the pen on your picture...duh
