Hey all, after doing an hour or two of research i found a pretty basic but nicely working vaporizer which i purchased for about a hundred bucks, shortly afterwards i realized most vaporizors on the market use hot air and the one i bought is the old style conduction (it sits on a hot bowl, made hot by contact, not hot air). But i have heard some pretty good things about the one i bought, from a friend. So do you think it's worth it to cancel the order and get a different (and more expensive) model?

I dont know alot about vaporizers but I do know that the type you ordered work perfectly fine. Youll just might have to mix up the weed a little while its in the bowl to get all of it heated up.... I just use my home made one which works fine for me and it uses the same technology as that one...

the ones that use hot air are way better i wou;ld never buy one of the conduction ones after using a convection style vape(the volcano) but yeah its hard to find those kind for around $100

runstrong, ive owned both types, firstly the cheapo conduction type, and it isnt bad. but compared to the hot air ones like a volcano, theres no contest

Yeh those really are not very good, not worth the money, there is a unit called the vapureyes, the one I eventually got, that uses heat and it is in a similar price range to the poorer, convection vaporizers.

I HIGHLY recommend the vapureyes, Vaporizing gives nearly all weed a sativa sort of high, more energetic and less "mongy" or stoney.

is this true?? can anyone back this up because if vaoprizers give all weed an energetic high i will buy one today. most of the weed i get around here just makes me feel like a retard and im tired of it.

well they obviously won't make absolute crap really potent,

But its just the effects don't make you as dopey and sleepy generally, you feel more fresh and awake and clear, its hard to explain but its certainly pleasant at the right times , like in the morning.
However I like to get sleep and mongy at night so I smoke joints then.

Another great thing about vaporizers is they taste how the weed smells, when you smoke it, it is nice, but tastes differantly to how it smells, whereas vapour tastes like your sucking on a bud :D

The best vape out there is the Volcano, and it's a convection...does that answer the question?

yeah, that does, thanks. I'm a poor college student right now, so i'll just stick with the one i bought until next semester, if i have teh money, i'll get a good convection model (not the volcano though cause that's too expensive) over the summer. Thanks for all your guys' input. Hey, if anybody here owns a vapirgenie, got any comments? good, bad, worth it? http://www.vaporgenie.com/
