is cfl good for vegitative like does it help the plant grow or is it in the orange side of the spectrum (for flowering)

good for veg.they dont get hot so you can keep them real close to your plants like an inch away to prevent stretching.kind of expensive though.maybe you should save a lil more and get a digital 600w ballast from bghydro.you can use both mh\hps

i was thinking about using a 400w Hps and like 2 or 3 cfl around
cause my space is 4 x 4 and like 8-9 ft high :rasta:

cfl are shit hot, they run so cool, don't use much electricity...get some maxgrow 125w cfl's if possible....

cfls make the world go round cheap effecient eleminate heat odor problems and make watering less of an issue as hid's im loven them

I think I might get some cfl's instead than a HPS now that I know that it doesnt take as much electricity to run it lol.

I just started using a 125 watt cfl and it is keeping my grow cabinet at a perfect 80 degrees F, and that's up from 65 degree regular room temp. So they give just enough heat to make a nice growing environment.
