My cat was thinking about trying oral ketamine, but he doesn't really know much and Erowid is missing some key information, namely any kind of qualitative dosage guide for oral use. It's my cat's understanding that powdered ketamine can be dissolved in hot water, mixed with orange juice and consumed for an effect that lasts longer and is a bit less efficient by dose than insufflation. Is this the case? Would 300mg be too low/high for a good oral k experience? My cat is experienced with shrooms, acid, DXM, salvia and various other psychoactive substances, and is looking for a 'real' ketamine trip, not the less trippy buzz he has heard of with low doses of the drug. Also, my cat's Erowid research leads him to the conclusion that ketamine used in reasonable amounts, orally, and infrequently is rather safe; is this the case? He's not really worried about the mental/emotional difficulty of the experience, just any physical risks presented by the substance.
My cat thanks you in advance for the help.

owever, unlike other psychedelic drugs like LSD, Ketamine is a short trip, lasting no more than an hour and a half from start to finish. The duration is not affected by the dose. So if you're not enjoying yourself, it's all over pretty quick.
common effects for snorted doses
low doses (10-75mg)
A small line of Ketamine, up to 50mg, will induce the mild, trippy euphoria that has led to its sale as an alternative to Ecstasy. Smells and tastes seem muted. Visual perception and sense of touch amplified.
medium doses (60-125mg)
everything in slow motion, buzzing or ringing in the ears, disconnection from your surroundings, loss of co-ordination and in less than ten minutes you can find yourself hardly able to move.
large doses (100-250 mg)
You're in the K-Hole where it is physically difficult to do anything other than lie in a near-comatose state and stare at the ceiling. In this state some users report life-altering insights about the meaning of life. Others are just scared.
mega doses (250 mg+)
You're unconscious.
oral doses
Swallowing Ketamine results in slightly different effects. The drug goes straight to the liver when it is processed into norketamine. Norketamine has greater numbing, sedating and pain-killing effects and will make it more difficult to walk or move around. The psychedelic effects on the mind also come on slower and the whole experience can be much longer, up to 4 hours. Snorted doses also trigger more 'out of body' effects than oral doses. (1)
injected ketamine
Unsurprisingly injected Ketamine is quicker acting and has significantly more powerful effects. Effects after an intravenous (iv) injection begin after 30 seconds and last around 10 minutes.
We strongly advise against intravenously injecting ketamine. You could pass out before finishing the injection.
Intramuscular injection (im) effects begin after 2-4 minutes and last up to an hour.

Ketamine should be injected, into a muscle, not a vein. Dose is perhaps half to 2/3 snorted. Orally, 300 mg should be good (perhaps a little much), though this is a guess, it is a reasonably well informed guess. However, you could die, or feel nothing, I take no responsibility for the illegal acts of others.

You mean, my cat could die. ;)
None of the guides my cat saw online had specific dose information for oral beyond a simple table with no real information.
shut up with the cat thing its fucking stupid

Ketamine is even worse than ecstasy, it's a very artificial trip, and the supposed "psychedelic" experiences are merely a bunch of headaches and sensory dissociation. If you'd prefer to trip for a shorter duration, I'd recommend using Salvia or DMT.

That's because Ketamine is a disassociative, it's in the same class as DXM and PCP.

K is ok, ive tried it about 3 times. I like DXM much more though, k is good while you have it though.
