wow... my dealer just hooked me up with a quad of purple stuff for $90. i smoked it around 5pm & was still high @ 9pm.

so what other strains have you guys tried that's hella sick?
i've tired Alaskan which is also super strong.

one of my mate's who grows had just harvested some 'top 44'.. got him to sort me out a Q of it. My God, that was sommat special. It was great when i closed my eyes cus the inside of my eyelids just looked like a huge disco with flashing lights. It wasn't excessively strong compared to other good skunk, it just had quite a characteristic high, would love to get my hands on some of that again. :stoned:

ak-47, nyc diesel are the best strains i have been able to encounter... and the "uptown haze" (washington heights) that my guy gets is great for being his reg bud

I recently bought a half ounce of "Snow," which apparently comes in different intensities. The buds were grouped very close together, had a greyish/whiteish color (hence the name) and about a centimeter of orange hairs encompassing the bud. The high is very cerebral and euphoric, while still allowing for a somewhat clear mind. Very enjoyable.

Best bud I ever smoked had to be some straight Cali Kush. It was insane. I smoked a blunt of that shit to myself and was hiiiigh as hell all night.

Real Purple Haze is often reported to be a myth. I do believe it is listed as an actual strain in the Cannabis Bible, however. In any case, if it really does exist, it one of those things that very few people have ever seen and or smoked.

You can get a good idea about what strains are out there by checking out the cannabis clubs and other medical mj distributors . At least the ones in the San Francisco area. If its a really good strain it'll show up there sooner or later and I've never seen Purple Haze as one of the choices. Purple Kush does show up quite often though and it is definietly one of the stronger strains going around. One of the most potent indicas I've tried.

Other really good strains I've gotten are:
Jack Herer (my favorite)
Sour Deisel
Manatuska Thunderfuck (an Alaskan strain, another one of the mege-potent indicas)
Blueberry
White Widow
etc
etc

Yes, it is a real strain, but dead non the less.. Or just VERY hard to obtain.. This is the original Purple Haze.. It's not buyable anymore.. I think.. If ANYONE get's ahold of these seeds, tell me.. I would LOVE to be corrected.. :)

What seems logical is that years after Hendrix's death some grower came up with a purple strain and named it Purple Haze in honor of Hendrix's song. Thus a legend was born. It wasn't that great a strain though and soon went away. The name, however, was still famous and due to the fact that some purple strains are awesome, as is the actual Haze strain, a lot of people who don't know better started calling any good(or in some cases pretty crappy) purple strains Purple Haze. Thus the legend was reborn.

contrary to popular belief that song was about acid that jimi encountered i his time, and ive been told that purplehaze was readily available quite awhile ago but a lot of growers dicontinued growing it because its yeild was low and it wasnt particuarly anything special compared to other dank and skunk

i love purple haze. silver haze is amazing as well. right now i have some purple kush that has such dense nugs its amazing. aparently this is a step up from purple haze. this stuff is amazing, one hit from a sobe bong (and thats all i did) i was tripping balls. it's really amazing.
