Dudes,

I'm growing" Power plant" by Dutch Passion seeds. This some-bitch is the most disease ridden bastard I've ever grown. I had one good successful grow but the damn plant gets a disease or bugs down in the resavior at the drop of a hat.
Right now, I'm finishing week 11 and I'm damn near at harvest but low and behoe if I don't have some Mesquito looking larva flippin' around in my resavior!! (my bucket, water Farm GH) Well, Flora shield won't even kill these bastards. I've been growing (hydro) for about 2 1/2 years so I've done all the obvious.

My fan leaves are all turning bright yellow fast, the inner bud leaves are still green though. I only need about 12 more days.

any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

If you are not using organics flush and clean with Hydrogen Peroxide I would get the Oxy clean brand its 35% if you get the stuff from CVS it is 5%. for the 35% use a teaspoon per 5 gallons. the 5% teaspoon per gallon.

I'm doing a little of both. I'm using GH 3 part formula, but I use Floracious bloom for taste and a little Liquid Karma. I left them both out while I was using the flora Shield for like 4 days straight. I think my plant went into shock because I changed the formula though. Changing nutrient every 4 days just to keep the floating bugs under control, I also have BLACK roots, and that ain't good.

THANK YOU, I'LL TRY THAT

I agree with 4pack..

hydrogen peroxide...

are the larva harming your plants?

there is a way to shock the water ... and it wont kill your plants but it kills bug in water... I dont know much about it...

Maybe ZANDOR will know...

there are two different methods.. ne is using electricity.. and the other is like a sound blast in the water....

both are benign methods that don't pollut the water...

keep us posted

Where's Zandor when u need 'em? LOL!

Like I say, one plant using A water Farm square bucket, CO2 (but I ran out of gas) When u flush the rocks you can see something float to the top. I have no Idea what the larva are, do u guys?

Thank you for all your support peeps, This is may last grow for the season because summer is TOO HOT here. I need some smoke 2 las tthe summer, the CO2 helps me get about a lb. off one bush plant!

I read on another site, some person had larve of fungus gnats in his hydro system. I don't remember what he did for them or how he resolved his problem. What are you using for you medium? Do you have little flies buzzing around? You might try pest strips to catch the adults. Someone even mentioned getting a venus fly trap for the varmits. I don't know if this worked or not.

are they thrips?

Well, 2 answer both of your questions. When the they get outa hand I see the adults flying around, or the the new borns. I'm Seeing signs of FUNGUS for sure. I never herd of a thrip, so I guess I got some pest control to learn. LOL! I'ts looking better 2day. I think I only got about 7 more days to go. My harvest will be big (due to the CO2) BUT THE POTENCY WILL SUFFER FROM THE PROBLEMS I'm sure.

Thanks for all ya'lls input.

Lets end this thread.

C-ya! ;)

From what you are saying you have Fungal Gnats very bad. Gnatrol is what you need you can put it in your res.

If you are using CO² you can turn it up above 3k ppm for a few hours it will kill the ones out of the water.

They eat roots but are more of a pain in the ass. You need to install an inline filter in your res too. That keeps them from spredding through your pump system too.

Zandor, where do you get inline filters? Aquarium supplies or landscape?

Thanks.
