This is our plant, we just borrowed a 400W sodium light off a mate (giving out alot of red band he says) and we vegged under a 150w CFL.
The new ligh has to be 4 ft away from the top of the plant, but we cant get it that high, so we will have to bend the plant. Can someone give simple steps to doing it please? Its 80cm tall aswell, what do you think the yeild would be like?

hey weed boy...
you want to get that light about 6 inches from the top of your plant....
put a fan on the ground blowing up... this fan will blow the heat from the light away from your plant...

having a 400watt hps more than 6 inches from your plant will drastically effect your yield...

AND now you KNOWM

oh yeah.. and something is wrong with your plant...
see how the new growth is small....
new growth should always be bigger or as big as previous growth...
you seem to have some curling going on also....

you may need to transplant
have you been PH ing your water?
how big is the pot that it is in?
what kind of soil?

some good soil bought froma growing shop.

no nuts or ferts or ph tested water, just water froma tap at room temp.

and yea, we know the 2ndry bushing is small as fuck, but hell we dont care really.

it takes 2 months to bud yea?

Also, we cant get a fan, at all. Will the plant burn like a bitch?

No nutes? The plant wont get the food it needs which wont make your plant as healthy as it could be if you did use it...also I understand nutes help plants in many ways.

No pH tested water? It's clear that plants like correct room temp water that has a pH level of atleast 7, these are just some of the reasons why your plant will be "Crap" Like J Dog said, if you dont take care of your plants your plants wont take care of you

always a good idea test with the back of your hand when moving the light closer to the plants .place hand at top ov the plant for a min or so an if its hot , lights to close :D ..

sorry ur tomato plants are a little crispy .but it was still good advice from GN.

Bend them over for one week, using plastic tie-wraps, then release them. I found 12 inches high enough spacing for a 400HPS, IF you have a constant air supply going between the light and the plants.

so, you worked out the adequate ventilation needed if the light was going to be this close, and you cheked the temperature so that you wouldnt do exactly what you have done.
