ive done mushrooms twice now. both times i did them i had a pretty bad trip. the first time i did them i was in a dream like state at first then lost total connection to reality, forgot who i was, what my mother looked like, and thought my whole life was a lie and shrooms were showing me the true reality. the second time i did them it was similar but not as bad. i lost connection with reality but this time in my head i was argueing with myself because i knew that my life was real and shit but i still had problems believing some of my past. now both times i wanted to sleep really bad but couldnt since there was so much shit on my mind, i just wanted to sleep so i can know what my regular life was like again. when i started coming down is when i start enjoying the trip, i feel great and chilled out and everything. first time i took a eigth of really good shrooms, the second time i took one stem of HELLA good shrooms. my question is, why do i always bad trip on shrooms? my friend told me its cause my mind is weak and i have depression. my depression tho is really small. anyways any help would be grateful :) im thinking of trying them again but with a really really small dose to c if that helps, would that be good? also i only do shrooms really cause i like the feeling coming down and i LOVE to have visuals, is there any other drug that can give me really good visuals(i heard lsd gives lots and isnt as mental as shrooms but im not sure if thats true) oand that coming down feeling? i tried dxm, that gave me the feeling of shrooms but its not very good health wise. anyways thanks again :D and sorry that was kinda long

Shrooms do that to alot of people. I know a couple guys who enjoy the last 3-4 hours much more than the first 2.

If you want to try a lower dose, go for it, but I think you'll probably just be disappointed.

From the sound of it, your experiences aren't that different from what alot of people think... it's really just more about how you're interpereting it. If you feel that you have to constantly fight to keep a grip on what's real and what's not, and constantly try to figure out what's true and what isn't, then you're missing out on the greatest part of the trip (in my opinion).

Just sit back, relax, and enjoy not having to be a part of the real world for a while, because to a shroomer, the real world doesn't need to exist. It'll always be back in a few hours anyway, so there's no need to keep checking up on it. If it helps, carry around a little peice of paper that says "By 2am, you'll remember what's real.", or something that could calm you down as a constant reminder.

Best of luck in the future if you ever decide to do it again.

And by the way, DXM is one of the safest drugs out there, as long as you're careful about not buying anything with any other active ingredients.

hey thanks for helping me out :) since thats how most ppl feel on shrooms i guess maybe its something too different for my mind compared to the other shit i do regularly. i also think the fact that i dont got much control of it may play a factor to why i dont enjoy the first few hours that much. im planning on buying $5 worth today, and since thats not shit i hope it will help me adjust to it. do u have any personal suggetions that i can keep in mind? thanks again :rasta:

iTs all about enviroment. try a different setting/people Mmix it up till you have produced a creation of efficient good trippage

"Set" is the expectations a person brings with them. "Setting" is the environment that a person is in. Set includes expectations about the drug's actions and how the person will react. Setting includes the social and physical conditions. For LSD and the hallucinogen-type drug more than other psycho actives, set and setting are very important in determining the nature of the experience. These factors make the difference between, e.g., the experiences of someone taking the drug for enhancement at a concert, for psychotherapy in an doctor's office, in a religious context, or in the outdoors for an aesthetic experience. For best results, one should take psychedelics only with people one trusts in safe, comfortable surroundings, free of everyday intrusions.
