how to trim fan leaves?

:confused: Im a first time grower and was wondering wot ur views are on trimming fan leaves?
a few people have told me to do it and a few said don't! how many should i trim and where do u cut them?
any help much appreciated!

heres the best way to trim fan leaves take the scissors and cut off your left and then you rright testicule.. kinda the same thing u doing to the plant jus in case you wonder what theyre thinking when your triming fanleaves are stored energy and its main factory for photosynthesis why trim when you can tie? good luck i love you!
