Anyone else here watch UFC, It's really quite entertaining to watch, In the UK it's on Bravo, and for the US It's on Spike (I think). Anyways my favourite fighter has gotta be...........Chuck Lidell, Liddell is a powerful striker with great takedown defense and has displayed an uncanny ability to return to his feet if he is taken down. A fight involving Chuck Liddell can end at any moment in brutal fashion. :rasta: :stoned: :thumbsup:

yea i love watching UFC haha UFC unleashed is on tonight, and you were correct brittoker it is on spike. and i hope cotour loses. most of his fights ive seen arent very exciting as in he would just "hug" someone then get them on the ground and it wouldnt really go anywhere from there like when he fought that guy from japan (cant remember his name). thats just what ive seen from several of his fights. it was awesome though when chuck fought that black guy(also cant remember his name) and the guy was talking a bunch of crap before the fight and got knocked out in the first round!!

UFC is on tonight!! I like josh. He was basically an underdog who doesn't look like shit, but can give a pounding.Also sylvia for the heavyweight class, he has stand up knock out power. Well i was watching it the other day and when the fighters came out they had the projectors the gay music the gay dance and pose they do and the strobe/black lights and fog machine and multi-colored lights and i think there were sparklers too. :(

Fukk yeah UFC is supreme when it comes to pure contact sport, its the epitome. Been watching it since I was a kid when Royce Gracie was still in [he's coming back]. Chuck Lidell just brings the bitch out of everybody, master of the one pop drop. Like the recent fight of him vs Jeremy Horn who is also a well respected and accomplished fighter. Dude talked so much shit, then when it came down to it he crumbled terribly, getting caught with about 3 of Chuck's 'good' punches & fallin to his knees, n after each one he let him get back up to get served some more. As for Lidell-Couture 3, I'm betting on the Iceman but I'm just hyped to see it go down. Besides that, Joe Rogan confirmed rumors of a fight against Wesley Snipes in the octagon to be true, but added Snipes is the only one left to sign. Both are experienced in Tae Kwon Do n other forms of martial arts so this fight is definitely not gonna be any bitch made celeb boxing bullshit. My moneys on Joe.

you know i read this thread when you first posted it...i had never seen a full match before, i watched clips on the net but never properly watched it....so last night i thought id go and see if it was on....and it was...it was like the championship or somthing....fucking awsome.....i wanna fight one of those guys....lmfao...j/k :)

some of those guys are too pumped. no matter how much you train, you wont get that muscle mass without artificial help. seriously doubt Lidell has done any of that from looking at him. as far as Tim Silvia- did anyone see the fight where he got his forearm broken in a hold, never said a word and had it not been for the excellent referee he would have continued! that is one hard-ass dude that Tim Silvia. as far as Silvia fighting Lidell and winning? i would have to stay with Chuck on this one. Chuck has the speed, experience and skills to handle a BIG man like Tim. Chuck also has the punch to back up Tim. Tim's advantage is his size and ability to cut the ring down, he has excellent sticking ability and uses that to land the big punch against weaker opponents. Chuck is Not a weak opponent, he would be the best Tim has fought, but Tim has improved everytime he has come out so who knows?

In mma, Muay Thai bitched all those so called Karate masters and Kung Fu masters and Taekwondo olympic gold medalists and stuff, now these japanese are taking the techniques of muay thai and calling their art now full contact muay thai... ?

Kempo, JKD, Vale Tudo, etc is just a combination of these styles

Ok...i am an AVID fan. I watched the Liddell v Couture fight a few weeks back. I was high and drunk as shit but it was still some of the best fights ever.

And for the record, Matt Hughes will win another ten fights or so before he even thinks about losing.

Chuck Liddell is the baddest dude on earth and he would break Sylvia down in a very systematic way.

Vitor Belfort is my favorite striker of all time. I honestly believe he has the fastest hand in the history of the UFC. The only person whose hands may be as fast or MAYBE faster is Rich Franklin.

And fuck Royce Gracie. I hate that shit talking bastard. He fought during a time that noone had even really heard of Gracie jj. Now everyone knows about it and the great fighters know how to dominate it with ground and pound and excellent stand up. Check this little bit of news i found.

I enjoy UFC, but I must admit, I liked the days better when Tank Abbott was on top of his game, no gloves, just an all out, bare fisted brawl. When the dude says, "lets get it on!!", ohhhhh yeah.

I've watched the new ones a few times, they have their moments. Some good knockouts, but I'll never forget Tank. Ab. knocking a guy out completly cold, while spraying his nose blood all over the mat. He had to guy down, and he reached up, and WHAM! Straight to his fuckin face and you could see the blood smear accross the mat. So hardcore, but I hear now that Tank is losing his touch. Too bad.

i have been watching the all time best knockouts on spike the past couple of weeks and was amazed. I now know why this was taken off of cable for a while. Some of the fights are so brutal. There is one with Tank where he punches the guy and knocks him out, but keeps punching. He hits the guy who is already unconcious on the ground so hard that his whole body goes stiff like a racoon that just got hit by a car. It was pretty nuts back then, way more than it is now.

I love to watch Vitor Belfort. I also love Tank. That dude has the heaviest hands i have ever seen. If he had any kind of game from the waist down he would have been unbeatable.

They say that those 4 oz. gloves they use are basically used to protect the knuckles. I actually believe that because i have busted my hands up in several fights and if you have ever put a 4 oz. glove on you will see that it doesnt hardly cushion a punch.

But anyway... Matt Hughes is THE MAN. Nuff said.

Another thing that made UFC so brutal back in the day was the fact that there were NO weight classes. Anyone could walk into the ring with Tank and get their head smashed in as much as they wanted to. They also didnt have mandatory stoppage or 3 or 5 minute timed rounds. They just stuck em in there and they didnt let em out till one either couldnt or wouldnt continue.

Everyone knows Forest Griffin right, well in a Japanese MMA league he got his arm broken in an arm-bar and as soon as it broke he came over the top with his other hand and knocked the dude out. Thats a TRUE warrior. He would have been at home swinging an axe into some random dudes head on the battle field in the year 1200 (not even sure if they had battle axes then?). Lol...
