I just wanted to know, obviously not that one is being drunk and one being high. Is high easier than drunk or visa versa? Ive driven with people who were high and it doesn't seem too tough but ive never driven with someone drunk. So tell me in your own opinion, and don't make a comment if you haven't done please!

high is so much easier. Compare being drunk and high and just think about it for a bit. Which makes you fall down. Which causes your vision to blur. Just think for a minute haha.

There's still no excuse to drive intoxicated-- in any manner. You're putting both yours and other drivers' lives at risk.

haha well I might get some sourpuss' to speak up with this one, but oh well :)
I drive high all the time, and its actually become more of a norm for me to do that. I have a decent drive to class a lot, so I smoke and it's actually not bad at all just listening to music.
I also have driven drunk on many occassions. I am not a total prick though, and I know when I should not be behind any wheel. But when you are like ReAlLy drunk, your normal vision is of course blurred, so I honestly have to cross my eyes to see straight. That's only been a couple times though, because its really tough to do. Now now, keep in mind MOST of these drunk driving occurances are on country roads, although I have driven on the highway a couple times. Later.

The body can intoxicate itself. If you refuse to drive after smoking a bit of weed, remember not to smoke after jogging, experiencing any emotion, after sleeping too much, and many other situations which everyone has no problem driving in.
Driving comes naturally after a while. Unless your motor skills are impaired or your reaction time slowed (as it could be by depression, being tired, drunk, or too stoned) then driving comes second nature to most people even in various mindsets.

"The drunk driver blows right through the stop sign, the stoned driver waits for it to turn green." - Bill Hicks
Seriously though most people I know who drive stoned may have slower reaction time but generally drive slower. Drunk people are just fucked up.

I seem to drive better when high. When sober, I am a compulsive speeder always going 10 or more over the speed limit on my way to class. When high, I find myself driving BELOW the speed limit and taking my time at intersections and lights. I feel I drive safer when stoned. :stoned:
I have also drove drunk a few times (I hate it, makes me feel irresponsible) and was fine (as far as I knew). I also have a good amount of common sense and know if im too fucked up to be on the road or not.
For me, driving drunk is a chore and makes me feel bad, where driving high brings me back to when driving used to be fun!

The differences between driving drunk high is the paranoia When im drunk i don't give a fuck and hall ass and whip turns ( some of my best running from the cops done drunk). When your drunk you can concentrate on driving. But thats not to say you'll push it too far and whack someones car on your way by.
When your high you have to worry about going to slow(usually ok if its with in 10 of speed limit.) And the other thing is you worry to much and get to thinking alot. You'll get more comfortable as you do it more. I would try getting a little high and driving and it will come to you when your fucked up. Also if you go out to drive thinking you can't do it you can't. But if you get in the drivers seat relaxed you'll be ok.

I disagree with you there, driving high for me is MUCH more relaxing than intoxicated. When I'm drunk, I feel in a rush all the sudden, I.E. the high speeds associated with driving "impaired." When I'm all baked out, it's just the music in my ears and the road ahead...but at a steady, safe speed of course.

the first time i ever smoked i had to drive home 3 people on the freeway 1 hour later. its a pretty interesting story, but ill put it in a different post. but bottom line is i had no idea what i was doing, i sort of remember a couple cars honking at me but i was lucky to get everyone home without getting pulled. i was nervous as hell because i had never been high and didnt know how it affected my perception skills.

The difference between driving high on pot and high on cannabis is HUGE.
Unlike the drunk driver, cannabis drivers are aware of their intoxication and slow down to compensate. Studies done @ the University of Florida, Tampa, Department of Highway Safety, and in Brisbane Australia(both hidden from public view) told us that drunk drivers were the worst, and that those who smoke cannabis and drove were no more likely to get into an accident than their non-cannabis using counterparts. To conclude.
Cannabis drivers are no more likey to get into an accident that those who drive sober/straight.
I have been driving for 35 years with no accidents, no tickets, and i use cannabis everyday. I have driven mountain roads, desert roads, crowded roads, and have had several occasions where i had the police behind me for a distance. I just turned up the ol grateful dead and drove on down the road.

I ran a 10.5 @ 134 MPH in a qtr. mile.(Stoned!)
If I was drunk I do not think I would have ran that well.
Just my opinion tho? :error:

When I was stoned and driving a bike, I found everything became very interesting, and I became switched on to what was around me, I drove at about the same speed tho. When I was pissed it was almost like I was bored, had to make my own entertainment, and it was more fun to go fast, and sway around, I never felt out of control, jus it was more entertainment to sway around, and have sudden bursts of acceleration. but in general I find no difficulty with my reaction time and being stoned, the only time weed seems to fuck that up is when I smoke so much that I'm near sleep, and ure basically close to the reduced reaction time induced by sleep deprivation, but i prefer to do everything stoned cuz of the switched on feelin it gives me. The gr8est drug ever, from a plant that jus grows, and its illegal, wierd. Was talkin to somebody who say they loose control on weed, so they don't like it, then the next line they say is, 'once i was driving so pissed, that I was on the wrong side of the road doin 60, and didn't realise, had like 4 ppl in the back' now that is control baby.

I've driven both, but seem more "safe" when stoned. I really pay attention cuz' I don't want to get pulled over. But, in both cases, my vision is kinda' blurry. When driving drunk, it is from right around the corner of my house, so I don't have far to go. If I know I can't drive, I stay the night with a friend. Have been hit by a drunk driver as a kid and know someone who is lucky to be alive after being hit by a drunk driver, so really know it's dangerous.

i think anyone who drives drunk is a moron
more car crashes are caused by drunk drivers as opposed to ANY thing else.
i drive high, doesnt make me drive any worse..
if anything i concentrate more.

I do actually seem to drive a bit better when I am stoned. But I have driven drunk before.. and I didn't do too good and I didn't enjoy it at all.

What RastaKaze said.
The rationalizations are laughable. I especially liked the comment about slowed reflexes delivered as a "so what." A drug that alters your time/space perception and sedates you as it wears off should be given to school bus drivers and pilots because it helps concentrating on the mundane. Brilliant!
