finding hookups

I don't know how many of you go to craigslist.org, but here in boston, the number of people advertising weed on the "Strictly Platonic" message board has exploded. i'd say 20% of the board seems dedicated to peops selling weed/"snow", pain killers, etc...

has anyone tried hooking up with one of these people? it seems shady, but i need a connection so i'm tempted to try emailing them. i wouldn't think cops would troll the boards looking for small-time buyers would they? I figure they'd be more likely to go after the dealers...

PS if anyone has a hookup in boston, i'm all ears! ;)

You always have to be cautious when buying, trading, or communicating with anyone on the interent. It's a risk you take, but if you think about it, probably 80% of those people on these boards on those ones, are in the same boat you are...looking for a good hookup.

I suggest reasearching the person you are contacting. See how long they've been on the forums for, see if they are respected memebrs, and not some newb looking to rip you off. Ask other people, via-e-mail I suggest, and see if others have hooked up with them. Or, if you find someone if your area, maybe get together with them, hang out with them for awhile, get to know them a bit, then ask if you can get a hookup.

When I use to be in this situation, I always asked for something for collateral. That means, if they offer to get something for you, you are obviously nervous about giving a stranger money and so on, so I use to ask for their watch, a ring, cellphone, pager, or ID's in some cases. Something you know they'll have to come back for.

I've found that whatever town you happen to be in if you can locate a skatepark you can probably find some herb. Just strike up a convo or two and through in a "Hey man, you know where to get any bud?" I'm talking a public park of some sort. The odds in a pay to skate "skating rink" type of environment may be a little different.

Or I'm sure there has got to be a hippy-esque part of town, road, street-corner, shop. That would be a good place to hangout.

Or just go make three new friends, one of them should be able to help you.

Let us know how it goes. I have friends up in Boston, including some real close ones. Except the real close one was never an Herb-smoker and I think a lot of the girls (a couple were Herb-smokers, still are), recently, moved to North Carolina.

I don't think the first time I talk to him in a year, I'm gonna ask him for Herb. Try that site, you recommended it.

hey thanks for the info guys - all the warnings are things i've considered when contemplating using craigslist. (by the way, craigslist is great for finding roomies, place to live, cheap used stuff, and they have it for almoist every city now. check it out) my brother can hook me up with some stuff from his supplier, but its always dark green and dried out and it gives me a headache when i smoke it. i also need to smoke like 2 big bowlfuls to get any kind of high. i want some sticky bright green buds!
