the leaves are growing at a different rate from one side to the other. Maybe one of you guys have seen this before but I haven't. On one side I have more secondary growth at 1st internode (right above the first true set of leaves) , the second set of leaves grew at the same rate, and now the third set is growing a lot faster on the side opposite of the side with faster secondary growth on the first internode. Also for some reason I don't have any secondary growth at the 2nd internode but I do on the 3rd. Hopefully that makes some sense. If not you can tell from looking at the pictures :pimp:

rotate the plant so it gets even lighting all around...could it be that simple?

The plant is/always has been centered under the light and the plant is still small enough to be completely under the light. Also I have done a few 180 degree rotations because at this stage I only require 1 fan and I don't want the stem to start to bend, I wish it were that simple.

Its either just plain genetics...
Or the roots are hitting that thingy you have sticking outta the soil. When roots hit shit they don;t like, sometimes it will show on that side of the plant.
Either way, nice looking plant there.

must just be genetics cause the uneven growth started before I added the automatic waterer.I guess it's not that big of a deal, my only concern is what would happen if I topped the plant.
Thanks for the compliment, it truly is a nice looking tomato plant.

You are not close to the point of cropping yet anyway.
You may think it's under the center of the lights but are you sure both of the lights have exactly the same lumens output? Have you check it with a meter to know?
That's why most of us rotate when we see that start to happen.
Just a suggestion for you to think about.

I realize that it's not at the stage where it can be cropped but I'm debating on whether I should even bother doing it. I started rotating the plant every morning since I started this thread to see if it'll help.
The plant is directly under only 1 light at the moment. It is a 65w fluorex. However I have other plants on the go and this plant is basically the one in the center so it is getting side light from the other lights. I have a total of 6 seedlings and I'm using three of the lights. I would have been using 4 if one of the bassasts didn't blow up on me so I've tried the minimize the area that I'm giving light to. Each light is 4550 Photopic Lumens and I'm working with about 2.5 square feet but it isn't exactly free of light leaking. I have a 400w hps when the time is right, any ideas for when that would be?
p.s
thanks to everyone who has replied so far.

update: the plant was a mutant, if you look at it from the top you don't see 4 leaves in a + shape, there's just 3 eventy spaced. I never took a picture where you could actually see this. I did top the plant and now there are basically 3 main branches coming out. I have a pic of that.........
