Ok so i always thought that hemp and weed plants were the same plant, but that hemp was not nurtured like weed plants are and dont make that much thc. So, do they come from the same seeds, and do hemp plants make bud? Is it just how ever you grow it, like hemp would be grown like corn or somethng and then weed plants for smoking would be grown in a warm place with lots of light? Im just confused and i wanna get my facts straight.

Ok hemp is from the same family of cannabis, altough it does not produce bud and has a very very very low amount of thc, like maybe 0,1%
Hemp is used industrially to make oil, paper, clothes, etc
And hemp is legal

Hemp is a name that covers all cannabis strains/subspecies. However the term is mainly used when referring to the plant for non-psychoactive purposes i.e. industrial hemp. Hemp is the common name used for the genus as opposed to the botanical name: cannabis (i.e. you say Oak not Quercus).
