Well, I used to work at a pool as a lifeguard, so it wasn't really a viable option for me to come to work stoned off my ass... and now I'm just a student, and my career is too important to fuck it up by coming to class stoned every day.. (like I did in my senior year of high school).

Agreed. However, I do go to work stoned. I love it. I recharge fire extinguishers, which may not seem very chill, but trust me, it is. About three quarters of the time is spent just sitting and taking the extinguishers apart and cleaning all of the pieces. Remind you of something? Cleaning a pipe.
I don't know, it's just so chill, just sitting there high with headphones on, working with my hands. Even better is when the customer doesn't want us to charge them on-sight. Then I get to take them home and do them in my own garage.
The worst part is that last 1/4. That's when I have to pressurized the extinguishers with nitrous, which is loud, and just scary when you're high.
One day I got unbelievably blazed, and I had only seven extinguishers I had to do sometime over the weekend. So I take them all apart, and one of them needed a valve stem replacement. I was high, of course, and I made the mistake of putting a valve stem in it that did not match that particular extinguisher. When I went to charge it, this happened.

20 pounds of chemical powder. It shot in my face, and I ran out of the garage, to use the spigot to clear out the powder in my nose (The stuff burns like crazy, and makes you feel dry and ashy.) When I went back around to the front of the house, "smoke," was just POURING out of the garage. By smoke I mean the massive amount of unbelievably thick dust. My mom pulled into the driveway at this time and thought the house was on fire. I couldn't see halfway across the garage, and the extinguisher was still going off. Once it stopped, it took about 20 minutes for it all to settle. Took forever to clean.
Honestly the biggest buzz kill I've ever experience in my life. I mean, my face and hair were just powder white from it all sticking to me, I looked dead.

I'm a student. I hope to get a job on campus next semester, which, from what I hear, is a job that you can definitely go to stoned. Last semester, I could get through any of my classes high (not super stoned but high enough not to be bored), and one class in particular was actually better to be stoned in than sober (philosophy is a great subject).

I work as a valet parking attendant, which is one of the best jobs a young person can have. I don't normally go in stoned (although I do sometimes), but after all the cars are parked and the party is under way, we have at least 5 hours to sit around and do nothing. Hmmmmm......what to do??? Kids even do blow sometimes, but I never got into coke.
It's an un-declared conflict between the old people who attend the country club I work at sometimes and the attendants, because they're convinced that all us kids are on dope, because once in a while, the stupid smokers get caught. so now they try to smell it on us and everything, but the smell's long gone by the time they get their cars back.

i dont go to work high anymore...
one day, i was stoned at work (i work at Runza, a fast food restaurant) and i had just gotten done taking this guys order in the drive thru, given him his food, soda and change, he was all set and ready to go. i walk away from the window, put some chili in a bowl, put the lid on the bowl, set it down and walk back to the window. i open it up and say "hello, thank you for choosing runza, how may i help uyou?" and it was the same guy. he just gave me this odd look and said "im done dude"... it wouldnt have been so bad, but my boss saw the entire thing, and he had just got done chewing me out for forgetting shit all the time. He was just like "like that dude, what the fuck" LOL

I used to go in to work high every day, then it just sort of seemed pointless to waste a high while at work. I would rather wait till after and actually relax. I do smoke from time to time, just depends on my mood. If I want to smoke, I fucking smoke.
