Is 100 degrees F a deadly temperature or is it something that is ok? I know tomatoes thrive under average of 83, but my grow room as is gets from 86-100 depending on how I have stuff set. To make it stay around 86 I have to keep my window open at night, and leave my closet door open. I would do that but the bright HPS gets a tinsy bit annoying. Thanks for any info in advance.

100 is not good as it induces hermies and slows down energy production among other things.

Try to stay under 90.

Thats kinda hard during some parts of the year in arizona. My house somtimes stays above 90 itself. I'm just wondering if having the temps to be around 100 would make growing entirely impossible.

Yea. The good thing though, I think they barely got any bugs besides crickets because of the extreme heat.

Exept Mites love dry hot climates...look out for mite infestation in the fall when it cools down after summer.
Oh ya,you need a window AC unit.

cannabis growth slows at high temps.
Good temps are 72-77 day time
58-64 night time.
Too hot causes many problem with pests, and you will also probably need to feed them more often. 100 is NOT good under any circumstance.

best of luck,

Anything above 95F and growth seriously slooooooowws. Thank god I moved out of Phoenix. That place was hotter then hell for 3 months every summer.

Get two inline fans and your probs will be solved for now. I just bought two 4" 175cfm inlines and they keep my small closet nice and cool.

hope this helps

I don't have $500 to spend :D And my parents along with anyone else who comes to my house would think that an air conditioner either sticking out of my big window or out of my closet is a little odd considering we have central air cooling or w/e. If only I could set my house air conditioner to make my room colder than everything else. Oh well, I guess I'll have to try and grow it at 100 for now. Thanks for the help guys.

you have central AC..?
you have an underground crawl space?
go under your house and detatch AC that goes to one of the rooms and bring it to your grow area...

also, try to utilize the cool air under your house using a fan..

Whoa there, I'm no expert here. Plus we're in a rental house till the other one gets built. I don't think I can go underneath the whole house. If you meant that by the basement, most hosues in Arizona don't have basments or a second floor :D.

perfect.. rentals are perfect..

not a basement
just a crawl space..
most houses have them..and there is lots of cool air under the house.. plus, You can take the air condition ducting from (lets say) the kitchen and run it to the room you are growing in. Cut a hole in the floor of the closet...(easy to patch later) and bring in cool air.. just disconnect the ducting from the vent in the kitchen (this is under the house) and move it.. it is easy..

you can also set a small fantek fan up that pulls air from the bottom of your house and pumps it into your room..

Why not just run the duct to where your plants are now(closet?)

My parents don't care if I grow, but I'm pretty sure they'd snap if I started taking apart the house or running ducting accross the hallway. Lol.
