Need help with the law

does anyone know the actuall law on marijuana in holland? some say its totally legal. some say it is legal with a permit. some say its legal in small amounts. some just say "dude, you can smoke weed in holland!", those those people are wannabes, but please tell me the actuall laws please!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of my teachers in high school was born in belgium and has been to holland and smoked weed there, I believe he said u can only smoke weed in the weed 'bars' or whatever they call them but its not enforced well and you can grow too.

if you are licenced you can sell it,
its illegal to carry it
but its iilegal for the police to search you.

dunno if this is still correct as they seem to change there drug laws more often than i change my pants(once every couple of months or so)

Legal in coffe shops,t grow&smok as mutch as u want(in YOUR crib),and i fink a couple of months ago u wer alowd to have up to half ounce on u in a public place.

they may be, My teacher told me that Amsterdam is probably one of the dirtiest places on earth just from bud, other drugs and legal prostitution but I'm not 100% sure of any other drugs that are illegal in the U.S. are legal in Holland
