You mean what Amp Fuse???
people in growing might have more of an idea...you can get relays or somthing...i was reading about it yesterday....but it does somthing when grow lights come on to stop them fusing the house (cause they surge when they first come on)...i have no idea if this is what you mean....but yeah.....try the growing section......:)

You can only get 240V out of the mains electricity over here. Dunno how much is safe to use though, at once!

240 volts from the Mains
5 amps per killowatt[1000watts]....15 amps per circuit[usually]
so if your running MORE than 3 kilowatts from 1 socket or 1 bedroom or one circuit..your are gonna have a power cut!!
Distribute the power/appliances around the house NOT all in the same socket{UNLESS IT'S LESS THAN 3 KILOWATTS]
IF your wire are too thin they will melt or worse...1.5mm is safest for big fat light's if this is a growing question

For one 13 amp socket the maximum you can have plugged in is just over 3000 watts.
Any more than that, and it will have to be on its own circuit e.g. a power shower or an electric cooker.
