Question

I want to start a new plant and i don't have enough lights...I was wondering if you need a special lamp to grow or if i could just throw a grow bulb in a household lamp and start my new plant? quick reply would be great, thanks bros.

Just a socket that fits.. But, if the lamp says you can't put more than a certain amount of W in it, don't do it!:)

Josh, look at CFL's - cmpact fluorescent lights.. they are cheap, easy, safe, and will work for a beginner who stillneed to learn aboutplant care.. it is a very rewarding process..

The lightbulbs i have i bought at lowes, there like very light purple glass on the top part and the side glass is white...there "grow bulbs" and it says there "MH" bulbs...someone fill me in, are these good bulbs? they give off kinda alot of heat so they have to stay like a foot away from the plant so it doesnt burn them. i have a 125w one and a 60watt one...along withthese i bought a "bright stick" its a 26watt bulb/lamp thats prolly 3 feet long, is this ennough light? for 1 plant..... might also take the 60 watt off my current plant and start another plant (the plant i have already is on its 2nd day of flowering) , by the time the new plant is 30 days old ill put the 60watt back with the old plant and put the old plant and new plant together under all 3 lights...that is if you think the 60 watt bulb can handle growing a new plant until 30 days..(at which point i plan to put it back with my older plant so it can flower with it)
