My neighbor is 75 years old.She is only taking herbal remedies her entire life. The Medicare Bill which our beloved President thought was a great idea is making her choose a health plan against her will.If she does not pick a plan herself they will do it for her and take it out of her Social Security check without her saying it is okay. This lady looks 50 and is in perfect health. So why should she pick a plan she will not use?Oh yes..Because the government says so..

bastards!!!

see...the real problem is the school system...we gotta grade children on their own ideas, and how complete they are...not if they are "right" or "wrong"...the genious' men and women are stuck working shit jobs, and the idiots are going for president...all because the smart people had problems in school...so yeah, your neighbors problem comes from the school system :stoned:

ummm....I'm not exactly clear on this. Are you talking about the Medicare part D plan? This would be the Rx plan that went into effect on Jan 1st for Medicare members for prescription drug coverage. I'm not aware of anyone being made to join Medicare itself, but they will enroll you in the part D plan of their choice if you don't pick your own. I just went through this, and they don't take anything out of my Social Security check. I think there was the option of not participating in part D, but I don't know if this is still an option since it's after Jan. 1st and the plan has already gone into effect. Try medicare.gov to see if it can answer any questions for her.

this to shall pass

An oppurtunity to realize that

Anger is a mechanism to repair the ego or ego diminishment.

if one allows this diminishment to occur, a space will open, and one can get a glimpse of the power of the universe... the only true strength

love is you

here's a thought. and its just mine.

But we need people to not be successful. Now i know that seems harsh but lets think about it...

We need ppl to be janitors, garbage men, taxi drivers, bus, city workers that clean up parks, and various not very "successful" these ppl are the back bone to our society and dont get the credit they deserve because their jobs may not require as much education as say a doctor, lawyer, teacher, dentist ect.

Not everyone can be someone successful in order for daily life to run smoothly. If they advance good for them, but someone needs to fill that void. By no means am i trying to be mean or be-little these ppl. But just think about it...maybe im wrong but it makes sense to me.

thoughts on this?

it depends what you define successful as...

the garbage men may have found school to be extremely hard...they may have mental problems...they may have worked hard for a long time just to getthe job of a garbage man...and they may think its the best job in the world...i bet some people are earning millions and millions of pounds a year and not be as happy as they would be, if they were a garbage men...(called bin men here:)) who had little to no education....
....personally i like learning, i like going to college and do it out of my own choice....and i hope that the work i put into it will pay off one day....

my point is....unknown

Garbage men make a pretty good living, though. Think about what the turnover for that type of job would be otherwise. I don't know about you but I see the same guys on that truck every week so their company must be taking care of them.

Being a garbage man is a choice just like being a doctor is a choice. I see no shame in it.
